If normal Correa doesnt show soon come Oct he shows up on a golf course

Possibly, but the rest of this division has been even more inept than the Twins. The run differential between the Twins and Tigers is nearly 100, last I checked. They're a lot worse than their record and the Guardians just keep flailing.

These recent Pablo Lopez outings reminds me a lot of that affliction suffered by Brad Radke so often, One-inningitis.

Maddeningly frustrating, to say the least.

Maybe Buxton should play CF and at least help the team as much as he can before the inevitable (and not avoided) injury? It's a little pathetic to me all that he does is swing the bat 4 times a game and he *still* can't stay healthy.

Only one hard hit.  But all set up because with a semi nice lead Pablo not smart enough to throw the ball  over the dang plate to a weak lead off batter standing there with the bat on his shoulder.

I'm not arguing for it and I'm usually pro-pulling early rather than late... but it's too bad it didn't happen today. Especially after we had two full pages of bickering about keeping Varland in for the 8th in yesterday's game recap thread.

Okay, my bad. But there was zero indication that Lopez would fall apart like this (and he also had weak contact assists and less than stellar defense to back him up). This was a team effort. Lopez wasn't good but this inning is a 10th percentile outcome given the balls in play.

Maybe not a bad comp but Radke was such an underrated pitcher. Did you know he's something like 150th in career pitching WAR in baseball history?

Hasn't been very good since the new contract.

What’s with this blaming Buxton for getting drilled in the ribs?

Not blaming him. Blaming the Twins for thinking that he could stay healthy as a DH.

The Twins are behind by multiple runs. The good Pagan is almost a guarantee in that situation.

I'm not all that surprised.  He was a very effective starter on some oftentimes bad teams during his Twins career.

Unfortunately GB differential is the only thing that matters.  Problematic is that when run differential enters the equation the TC should be way up in GB differential not just hanging on.

It's a better indicator of future performance than current record, though.

I meet Radke in the nearest Hooters to the stadium in TX back in the day.

Just saying. Twins are making them look just fine right now.
