Irishman Verified Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 4 Twins hitters had each 1 hit and rest of hitters had 0 hits. That’s unacceptable! Pathetic! Hopefully, Twins players read this forum. Twins’ offense sucks! Time to replace hitting coach!!

Parfigliano Verified Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 On the bright side both CLE and DET lost.

So many Met games deGrom left in the 6th, 7th, or 8th, with the lead, handed to the pen, and got a ND as the pen blew up his game, but a miniscule ERA for the Cy Young season. It must have been so frustrating for him.

This is giving 2022 vibes except we played much better until about the end of May. The others in the division are no better than last year. We could tread water the rest of the way and still probably be in the thick of it in august/september. Maybe some reinforcements will be available by then

killebrewlover Verified Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 So let's see. Cleveland loses. Detroit loses. And the Twins have yet another chance to put some distance between them and the others. And they lose, at home, to a sub-500 team. I think what we've learned in the first 39 games is that it doesn't matter who wins the Central Division. They all stink.

Alas there are those here who only have a single note to play when posting.

I know some people prefer it (good for them), but BSN is the ONLY reason I pay for DirecTV. Which is why I want to stream. Paying $1000 to $1200 per year for turning on the TV 80 times doesn’t work for me, you can buy a single full season ticket for $800. streamers on a per month basis aren’t any cheaper, but no contract, so Fubo is $600 per year if you start it and end it w/ the baseball season.

Can be fun and informative when a fan from a rival stops by. Alas there are those here who only have a single note to play when posting. I'm not in any way offended. I've been posting the Cubs forum for 20 years and understand what it looks like when frustration goes beyond good natured ribbing, which is why I dropped it where i did last night. earlier in the thread, someone cracked a joke about Morel's name, calling him "mushroom guy" or "fun guy" or whatever. That didnt offend me at all, we've used those nicknames at nsbb (or simular). But the guy has been raking at AAA, being one of the top hitters in the minors to start the season. I couldnt help myself from pointing it out. And yes, calling a game thread on a Twins message board "a thread about a Cubs game" was meant to stir the pot a bit. Its fun when the Cubs have young players show up. I'm not going anywhere and hopefully other posters will get to know me a bit better through time. I love the Gophers (grad'd from Minnesota undergrad and grad), love the TC area and northern MN (lived in TC for 14 years), but I grew up in IL, so my professional sports fandom is all Chicago. bare with me Good luck the rest of the series, and try not to get too pissed off at me :)
