Should the Twins go after David Bednar for bullpen help

He's under team control for another four years. The Pirates have no reason to trade him now unless it's for a completely outlandish package that probably includes Lewis or Lee and a bunch of other top end pieces.

The one Pittsburgh pitcher I'd like to get, and you could probably get him affordably, is JT Brubaker. Get him out of Pittsburgh where they make him throw that stupid sinker and I think you'll find yourself with a really good pitcher. The Pirates have a long history of messing up their top starters by insisting on that sinker only to see them reduce, or drop it all together and thrive after they're freed from purgatory.

Musgrove, Taillon, Cole, Glasnow, Morton. It's pretty much the same story every time. I don't know how Neal Huntingon still has a job.

The next player's union fight should be about getting relievers out of this mess. Bednar is too good for the Pirates to trade, but the arbitration system keeps them paid low. This continues the cycle of bad teams keeping a player rotting in their 'pen. Like it should be against the rules for teams not-contending to keep good relievers. At a minimum they should have to pay them double.
