John Gant to the IL, Albers recalled for bullpen

This shouldn't really surprise anyone but Gant is on the IL, Albers is back up. I assume Charlie Barnes will be demoted after today's start.

Is there something wrong with the Twins trainers/medical staff?  Seems by the time our Twins pitchers get to the MLB they are already to the point of minor/major injuries.  Are they not in shape?  Is pitching that grueling that you would easily get an abdominal strain or a bruised finger?

At this point I have trouble keeping track of who's on the Twins pitching staff from day to day or week to week -- but with Gant down, they don't have 5 starters unless Barnes stays in the rotation or Albers takes a turn later this week...right?

I also can’t keep track of this nonsense anymore but that’s my take on it, yes.

Barnes will have to be returned, since there is no official roster space. The Twins got maximum use out of Barraclough before Rooker returns. 

 

Will Albers take the Gant start, or someone else. I still wish they would let Strotman come up and pitch brilliant or get battered, just to get major league willies out of the way.
