chaderic20 Verified Member Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Regarding players coming back healthy, Jayson Stark had an interesting article on ESPN about that. Now, there have only been two previous WBC, but so far the data shows that players who played in the WBC are actually less likely to be injured than those who only play in Spring Training.

Highabove Provisional Member Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Glenn Perkins is talking about how he is altering his spring for the upcoming World Baseball Classic. Any Worries? Also, would you rather have our prospects preparing with their National Teams or working in Twins Camp with Tom Kelly on their Fundamentals. I personally believe that the WBC is a bad idea and a meaningless tournament.I am probaly in the minority on this one.How the World Baseball Classic is already impacting Twins closer Glen Perkins » Twins Now

kab21 Verified Member Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Stuifbergen did not look impressive in his start against Taiwan. His fastball was barely hitting the high 80's and he just kept getting hit. Seemed like a nice guy when I chatted with him for a minute the previous weekend but he did not look like an MLB pitcher.
