mike Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Could Angel outfielder Peter Bourjos be available with the Hamilton signing?
ThePuck Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Great defender, no bat. Who do we have that they would want for him?
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Nothin, if you can't sign good FA you have nothing to trade either.
ThePuck Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Nothin, if you can't sign good FA you have nothing to trade either. If you figure major league teams want to make sure they have a backup at every position in case of emergencies, and that Mastrionni is the only guy we currently have to play CF, then IMO, it means Benson or Hicks will have to break with the team...and whichever one does, probably is the starter with Mastrionni being the 4th OF. Would you concur? Or am I missing something?
Fatt Crapps Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Wasn't there someone on this site who said we should trade the entire farm for this guy?
ThePuck Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Wasn't there someone on this site who said we should trade the entire farm for this guy? For Bourjos? Not that I saw
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I dig Bourjos a lot. Try Duensing.....(that is both tongue in cheek and half-serious, I think veteran bullpen is what they want)
AllhopeisgoneMNTWINS Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Im sure the Angels would prefer to keep Bourjos as a 4th OF, especially with Hamilton prone to injury.

They have Vernon Wells which would be a tough contract to remove. Bourjos is worth a phone call for his defense and speed alone. You just don't want of overpay for him with Hicks and Arcia knocking at the door.
