Why does nearly every forum topic need to have "Front Page" in front of it? At the time of this post, 17 of 20 topics start with 'Front Page.' I'd guess you're trying to highlight articles that are written by TD writers, but there is the 'Recent Articles' tab in the RH column. Just would think there is some other way of identifying these "official threads."

More of a question for Brock ... but, maybe this will shed some light on it.

Whenever a front page article is published, a duplicate article thread is automatically generated by the site for the forums. They are automatically generated with the words 'Front Page' to identify them as front-page articles vs regular forum threads started in the forums. The comments section between these two separate but identical 'beings' is one, so it links the front page to the forums and vice versa. If you comment on the article from the front page, your comment is seen in the forums, and vice versa, the comment you make on the article in the forum is seen on the front page. These articles used just have the word 'Article' in front of them, but that was changed some time ago. What you are seeing is an increase in output of articles being written. I don't think it's about highlighting them as so much trying to say they are different than regularly generated forum threads. It has gotten to the point, with so much content being generated through articles, that there is little difference in content between the two TD entities. However, we do have posters here that never venture past the front page, and some that never venture from the forums. By the linked comments section, it's the only way the two separate entities are actually one.

When we have game threads, those are only ever seen in the forums ... they will appear on the side column on the front page under the heading 'In the Forums' or however it looks. I rarely venture out of the forums, because I get everything there ... the articles from the front page as well as other threads generated by members.

And yeah ... it doesn't make sense to have the columns to the right that are no different than what you are actually seeing in the forums ... because all the front page articles are in the forums. But the section 'The Forums' on the front page does list things that are only forum generated so there are more differences there.
