Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Dan Hayes wrote an article for The Athletic about the season of Royce Lewis. It was frustrating at times, but he kept working. Now he's been one of the most impressive prospects in the Arizona Fall League. https://theathletic.com/1321973/2019/10/24/royce-lewis-twins-top-prospect-arizona-fall-league/ He struggled really for the first time in his career but continued to work on and trust the process. Hayes chatted with Jeremy Zoll who said, “He hits the ball really hard,” Twins farm director Jeremy Zoll said. “We feel good about a lot of the progress he’s made in some of those areas. Inevitably yes, you want those balls to fall for hits from a confidence perspective and a production perspective. You’re starting to see some of the manifestation of that in the Fall League and that’s most importantly rewarding for Royce for all the work he’s put in, but also in turn, a sign of more good things to come.”
beckmt Verified Member Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Lewis, I feel is getting there. I do not think 2020, but by 2021 he should be in Minnesota, and the fact he puts in the work, like many other of the Twins now, is a big plus.

I am very confident He will be up some time earlier than later next year. I believe he will force his way up in a Luis Arraez way that cannot be ignored. I would not be surprised to see Kirrilloff do the same. The future is bright.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted October 25, 2019 Author Posted October 25, 2019 I think experiencing some challenges in the minor leagues can be a good thing. It's important to see how a player handles struggles and overcomes it. Does he trust the process or melt under it. Royce Lewis is going to be a star in time. He has the makeup to overcome difficulties, trust the process and keep working.
Thegrin Verified Member Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 We've created an infield logjam with Arraez, Polanco & Sano. Lewis and the rest are going to have to play very well to replace any of them.
