snotboogie Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Scored an upgrade to an event suite. Not great seats, but I can go inside if I get too cold. Haven’t needed to do that despite a couple of icy cold Summits. A roof would look horrible. Give it a week. It’ll be lovely out here.
luckylager Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Its been my experience that the people who bitch the most about the lack of a roof are people who rarely attend any games anyway. We just went through a week of bad weather baseball on the east coast. I don't recall ever hearing fans in Philly or NY bemoaning the lack of a domed stadium.
snotboogie Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Spending all that money for something so ugly that you might, might need for 3 weeks out of the season is not worth it
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Stall while the next pitcher warms as quickly as possible. Cold weather, 6th inning, pitcher hasn't been fully stretched for long starts, close game. It's unfair to second guess but maybe should have had someone warming at the start of the inning.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Solid outing from Pineda, good to get a little bit of length out of him.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 At what point should the Twins not play Marwin Gonzalez “everyday”? That’s not what he was signed for.

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 OK boys, keep the line moving. This is the inning we create some space.

jtkoupal Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 C.J. Cron is the new LoMo, and fittingly, they both hit 30+ bombs before we got them from TAMPA!! Hey, maybe Cron will hit well in May!
blindeke Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 There was a twin domes concept during the stadium process - side-by-side stadiums with a roof on tracks covering one stadium at a time. Of course, there was never a possibility of the Wilfs and the Pohlads gettng together on it, but it was an interesting concept that I think could have saved the feel of the stadiums. I can't find any trace of it online now, but they did have fairly detailed plans at the time. That was the most ridiculous idea.
blindeke Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 They look horrible on TV. Lettering is illegible. Looks like something a kid cooked up in the uniform design studio of a video game. Not just any video game, but one with 90s era NES graphics.
strumdatjaguar Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Is it time to adjust this batting order? Buxton and Schoop moving up Gonzalez and Cron down.

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Is it time to adjust this batting order? Buxton and Schoop moving up Gonzalez and Cron down.Down to 10th and 11th, perhaps?
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Pineda was at 89 pitches and I glanced over at the bullpen, and no one was up.I think they were warming up in one of the luxury suites.
strumdatjaguar Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Down to 10th and 11th, perhaps?Agreed. More Tortuga and Garver too
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 That was the LAST thing I was expecting.

snotboogie Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 It’s like Nelson hasn’t been playing for a week.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Eddie going deep here.I should have said home run.Apologies.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Bases loaded, nobody out, middle of the order....and nothing.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Surprised the Tigers aren’t running for Cabrera here.
