Bernardino did a nice medium dive into Kyle Gibson's improvement. We've all heard about mixing in more 4 seamers and fewer 2 seamers. Turns out, he's also throwing way fewer change ups while his slider is the most whiffed pitch in the majors this year. That get-me-over curve that he uses second time through? Third most. Fits the eye test. When he nibbles hitters ignore the unhittable slider, and he gets killed. When he attacks hitters have to swing or guess and his slider is amazing.
