Here is a must-read story about the son of Twins hitting coach Joe Vavra, Tanner, who plays Division I baseball and is partially blind. He doesn't just play, he's a starter, hit over .300, played great in the Northwoods League and has a tremendous attitude!

I got about as far as the fishhook in the eye part, threw up in my mouth a little, and stopped reading. I'm glad there are doctors in the world, because clearly I can't be one of them.

 

But good for him not letting his eye stop him.

He must use some superhuman form of echo-location like bats. This shouldn't be possible.

Allow simple mathematics to explain:

 

One eye - peripheral vision - distractions + focus > depth perception.
