I like the idea of Dougie Baseball but Picker, Glynn, Mauer would all be ok with me. But I don't know enough about other options. Someone in the Rangers system could be fine. Mostly, I'm gonna give Levine the benefit of the doubt on his hire since it's his first one and he's seen what the team needs. If he thinks Glynn is the guy, great. If he thinks he needs the Rangers AAA manager, fine.

Just FYI, the Indians' AAA manager is Chris Tremmie.

The one year the Twins were competitive was when Torii Hunter came on board and basically managed the dugout. I'd still love to see him get a shot at the Twins job. I know I'm in the minority here but we all have our crazy ideas...my crazy idea is to hand Torii the job and let him run with it. I know it's totally irresponsible, but I don't care!

Would he fit in the mascot's costume?

 

More seriously, perhaps he could be brought on as a bench coach or roving outfield / hitting instructor.
