SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 How can they give a hit and an error? Even if Joe scoops it Braun looked like he would have been safe.

jun Verified Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Duffey usually makes sure all his inherited runners score and more. Polanco continues making errors game after game.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Still like that play by Polanco. Didn't turn out the way you'd want it, but a nice play. Yeah, I don't know why that's an error there. Seems like the wrong call.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Hard to type and sip beer with crossed fingers for Mejia.

I believe because the error lets the run score. Batter gets a hit, and the run scores on the error as the runner advances from third.

If Joe scoops it the runner doesn't advance, I assume that's where the addition of the error comes into play. Edit, sniped, and sniped.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Rosario! I think the light has started to come on!
snepp Verified Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Home run and a cut-off man in the same game. Have yourself a night Eddie!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 At least this game is moving along quicklyq
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Watching these slighter players club home runs, it still amazes me that someone with all of Mauer's talent and size, and he never made the adjustment to be able to hit home runs.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Polanco, our hottest hitter, takes a walk wait wut?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 So, ok, Brian doesn't always fail with RISP
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Too bad Dozier can't hit with RISP.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 An oppo grand slam by Dozier. Been there, done that. As of now, anyway.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Dozier's first granny. I think he's hit about every kind of homer.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 That was...whats the word? AWESOME!
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Don't you wish we still had Garza???
