If you are so sure Urias is an ace, this year or next, why would the Dodgers trade him for an Ace who is older, more likely to get hurt and costs them Urias and others to obtain? Why not just keep Urias?

And, if you don't think Urias is and ace this year or next, then Dozier and a mid-tier prospect should be enough to get him (if you think Dozier is 2016 Dozier or close to it).

You can't think he's not an ace, so trade him for one, and that he's an ace, so he costs more than Dozier and 1 prospect. IMO.

Urias is only 20. He will be 21 in August of next year. He is still SO young, and pitching is not easy. He may very likely be on an innings limit again next year, but that is not a given. He also likely will show ace-like qualities all of next year, and hopefully won't be held back.

The Dodgers only have so many years left to try and win a world series with Clayton Kershaw. They could wait and have Urias develop into an ace (which most people think he will become) or they could use him to acquire a current day ace. Kershaw is the known quantity, Urias is the unknown, even though he has absolutely shown ace-like ability.

And no, Dozier's value + another prospect or 4's value from the Twins is not going to be equal to Urias's or Sale's value.

We agree Dozier won't return Sale.....

What else would the Dodgers have to add to get Sale, because they aren't getting him for 1 player, no matter how good that prospect is.

Also, I don't agree the Dodgers are only looking at next year, or even two years. They are clearly playing the LONG game here. Otherwise they would be spending all that money very differently, and making more mid-season trades of HUGE prospects (which they have magically acquired, even though they don't have early draft picks.....).

I like the idea of adding a veteran OF, but I don't think Reddick is the best fit for the Twins. With Kepler and Rosario showing struggles against LHP I don't see the point in signing another left handed OF who can't hit LHP

I don't know what the White Sox would want, but if they were to trade Sale, they would need at least someone like Urias back to start the conversation

Reddick has some pop and can get on base. Hopefully Kepler can be that as soon as next year. I don't think it would be bad to add vets that can add that to our lineup now. I don't think starting all young guys, specifically Rosario, is a recipe for success

A shortstop? An outfielder? Maybe Puig? CHI has holes all over.

If the Sox trade Sale, they are going to want 3-5 young players/prospects, because they are in rebuild mode then, unless they get like, 3 of the BoSox young MLB players.....

I'm sure you're right. I don't know the strengths of the Dodgers system as well as the weaknesses of the White Sox MLB team so I can't suggest specifics.

"He is still So young, and pitching is not easy." It should read "pimpin is not easy!" :) \m/
