In the last few minutes before the trade deadline, the Texas Rangers have acquired Ryan Dempster from the Cubs, but it hasn't been announced for whom yet.

Theo is gonna get a haul for that stupid Dempster, Dempster wouldn't even have fetched a picture of a top prospect a year ago.

Dempster is being traded for two Class A pitchers, names of which TBA.

Another move that was completed at the deadline was a deal between the Pirates and Yankees; the Yanks would send Chad Qualls to the Pirates for 3B Casey McGehee, probably as a replacement for A-Rod.

So you used advanced stats to put Dempster down, but still can't admit that Nick Blackburn is the god damn worse?

 

And yes Dempster isn't gonna lead the league in ERA, but I think he'll do fine out West.

Blackburn is awful this year, but even advanced metrics indicates he was solid for a few years (lifetime xFIP of 4.49). I never claimed Blackburn was anything more than a #5 and now he is flat out awful. I'm not sure what your fascination is with me on this subject.

He's just looking for an arguement. Check the second post where he called Dempster stupid and complained about how the Cubs wouldn't have gotten anything for him last year. It only took him four minutes to change his mind.
