Good lord. See you all in 2020 when this team has a chance to compete again.

They could have given him and his contract to the claiming team without getting a return. I guess teams in the playoff run prioritize defense in their catchers. Suzuki's bat would have been an upgrade in a few places but it is a defense first position.

The waiver process is private and not formally announced.It could just mean there was no leak this time.
