ANND Welcome back! To Minnesota Twins Whine Line: Game Thread Edition! What a crazy ending to last night's ball game! For those that stayed up for it, you were rewarded with seeing a unique 2-4-5-6 double play to end the game. Also, NASA just announced that they have identified 2 baseballs that left Earth's atmosphere last night. It's safe to say they were from the bat of Miguel Sano and Eduardo Nunez. Check out the game recap HERE if you missed it. Let's talk weather and lineups for the streaking Minnesota Twins!

For once it doesn't appear that rain is in the forecast Perhaps the roof will be open today? 56 degrees when the first pitch happens. Real feel of 62 degrees.

Minnesota Twins (14-34):

Molly's still thinking things over.

P - Ricky Nolasco ® - Let's see if he can bounce back from that clunker in Kansas City!

Seattle Mariners (28-20):

They're probably reconsidering everything today

P - Taijuan Walker ® - Hasn't won a start since April 25th!

And now, we're doing a special segment in honor of Memorial Day Weekend. First of all, I hope we all take some time to reflect and remember the people who lost their lives protecting us and our countries. I will be celebrating by grilling ribs and drinking beer tomorrow...

Today, let's talk about what Seattle is known for, and remember baseball players! The intern and I couldn't come up with a better title than "Remember this guy?" so we're running with it.

Pike Place Market: Even people who haven't been to Seattle before should know about Pike Place Market. This public market has been open since 1907 where you can shop for fresh seafood, fruits, vegetables, and crafts! One of my favorite fish to eat is salmon... Which makes me think of former RF Tim Salmon - "Remember this guy?"

Sleepless in Seattle: Some of the diehard Mariners fans were sleepless last night after that bizarre double play to end the game. In fact, if you listen to "The best of Dr. Marsha Fieldstone" on the radio, you may still hear people upset about the outcome! Tom Hanks' son in the movie didn't like who Tom was currently dating. The son was a baseball fan, and liked that Meg Ryan's character talked about the Orioles in the letter to Tom. It all worked out as all rom-coms do. This made over $220 million in the box office... You know who else made a lot of money and played for the Orioles? Former LF Albert Belle - "Remember this guy?"

Creme Cheese on Ballpark Food: I don't believe there's any other region in the country that puts creme cheese on their hot dogs and hamburgers, except Seattle. I've researched food available at Safeco Field, and the common condiment on both food items is creme cheese topped with grilled onions and pickled peppers. Can anyone confirm or deny that creme cheese on these food items are good? Also, you know who else threw the high cheese to opposing hitters? Former P Randy Johnson - "Remember this guy?"

LET'S WIN TWINS!!

That double-play ending the game was one of the greatest plays I've ever seen.  This team looks to be getting it together.

Except for the pitching staff.  Oui vey, don't get me started...

Cream cheese on a hot dog?

Oh FFS!!

I'm not sure what is more disturbing - creme cheese on a hot dog or creme cheese on a hamburger. Both don't appeal to me one bit!

I did not pay attention to last night's game, until this thread.... the opening intro got me caught up and I was back into enjoying Twin's baseball......until your above Oui vey.......that stopped me from getting started as I realized how this season has been...........thanks for THAT wake up call!

All I got is keep winning Twins, BUT why can you NOT come out hot, at the start of the start of the season???

I do remember Tim Salmon. And the Bass family...Randy, Dick, and Brian. Sid Bream.

But I don't remember Lip Pike.

Interesting question...I wonder how many game ending DPs--without the ball being put in play--there have been in MLB history.

That's been the part that bugged me the most.  The 2 things I would expect coming out of Spring Training or pre-season training camps from any team, any league, is good health and sound fundamentals.  The Twins lacked both.

Things are turning around.  It's pretty cool seeing turn against a team like Seattle.

That's one of those trivia questions that spinowner revels in knowing.

Jerr, we're 3-0 since Wednesday. Are you not entertained?

Oh, and by the way, this...

BATMAN: I hear that dynamic bunch, the Twins, has hired Forrest Gump as the new bench coach.

ROBIN: Offense or defense, oh Caped One?

BATMAN: Offense. He gave everyone a box of chocolates and told them to eat every piece in one sitting.

ROBIN: Holy non sequiturs, Batman! How will that help the Twins' bats?

BATMAN: Simple, my young friend. Mr. Gump assured the team they'd all get the runs now.

Losing interest in MY team and the ad I reported is making really hard being here.

I did report it, so maybe, if Twins keep winning I'll be MORE entertained on here.

Actually been watching other teams            that hurt.....
