Anything sinister in Duffey getting pulled mid-inning? Only following on Game Day and suffering from early Spring Training injury paranoia

Probably just reached his pitch quota.

My vantage point for tonight's game:

Rub it in...

On a more serious note, was the line drive over Sano's head misplayed or just hit that hard?

I couldn't tell.  Looks like his route could've been a little better.  But the ball was hit pretty hard.  So if all else fails, blame Nolasco or credit the hitter with a well hit ball.

I expect this to be discussed ad nauseum tomorrow. An average right fielder catches it*

*with the caveat that it was hit about 700 miles per hour

EDIT: 7,000 mph

The Twins have looked good tonight. Park and Mauer had good at bats and Escobar got a ton of ground balls, converting all of them. Nolasco was Nolasco but thankfully he is no longer considered a key contributor to rely on.

Cheers to game threads in 2016!

I was just wondering. It's early yet, though not too early to be down on Mr. Nolasco. For whatever reason, Mr. Nolasco, to me, seems to be just going through the motions of being a pitcher.

I'm sure Nolasco is giving his best effort and wants to do well, but yeah, I don't know if his heart is into being a Twins pitcher here, given all that's happened the past couple years and how the pitching staff is shaping up with talent.

That's probably a fairer assessment.

Santana looks good. Dozier seems to have brought a new approach and it's showing.

Difference of the game might literally be one inch. Gotta run that out, Benson. Game on the line and you coast.

Benson cost us the game by not running that out. Good message that needs to be barked out loud in the clubhouse. That was a tie game if he had even ran 3/4 speed. Unacceptable.

Benson casually jogs home to get forced out.

Benson is a veteran and knows better. I couldn't believe it.

Plus isn't he a veteran who does not have that many chances left to prove he has what it takes?
