Isn't this a better overall mix?

I haven't really thought about the possibility of Park being unimpressive and earning a trip to AAA. I suppose Sano could just slide right back into DH and let someone else play in the OF.

I think it's a realistic possibility that Park has trouble adjusting to better pitching and may not be an impact bat right away. I hope I'm wrong with the assumption, but he is a huge question mark for the team heading into ST.

If you're on the page where you can view all of the forums, there should be a black button on the right hand side of the screen saying Start a Topic.

Cool, but mine says "you cannot start a new topic"

must've done something wrong

Agreed, it could be a major issue compounded by the fact that the twins will have a long leash on him since he is due a decent chunk of change, look how long they nishioka flounder at the major league level before FINALLY sending him down (and no, I am not comparing their skill sets, or anything like that. But they are the two foreign players the twins signed to major league contracts, so that is where the comparison comes from)

Arcia struggles for a couple weeks? Down (or out) you go! Park? "Let him work through it"

In 2014, the team was far better in all the stats that Dave mentioned. They added Hunter and Rosario and a half season of Sano offensively and subtracted really not much and fell to a bottom quartile offense. Santana, Arcia, and Vargas disappointed or outright disappeared. Was 2014 the outlier or was 2015 more accurately what the offense is and is going to be? I think that several guys will get better or would figure to be about the same--only Rosario and Sano have much basis for regressing, so I think the overall offensive output will be improved, but not by much. I really don't want to see much of an outfield that has both Sano and Arcia in it because of how bad the defense would be. The pitching should be better, but that seems to be the ultimate crapshoot as far as projecting who performs well or not.

Remember also that in 2014, we batted some ridiculous percentage with men in scoring position.  I would say 2014 was the outlier.

I think you mean 2015, the twins had the 3rd highest BARISP in baseball

In 2014 they were 16th (29 points lower)

Whoops.  Yes.  Thanks for the correction.  Had my years mixed around.

Figured that was the case, and it's just one more reason why we should just "bank" on 83 wins with this lineup returning.
