Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 If you follow events but haven't seen this story yet, you need to take a look. It's both funny and dark at the same time. I still don't know how much it should bother me yet. It's about the new president at the University of Iowa. (First link more of a direct news report, second link more of an editorial with more link outs): https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2015/09/04/appointment-businessman-bruce-harreld-next-u-iowa-president-upsets-faculty http://www.slate.com/articles/life/education/2015/09/university_of_iowa_names_new_president_no_experience_no_ideas_flubbed_his.single.html If any Iowa natives know something and want to give their input, please do.

I don't know if that's correct as I haven't really looked into this deeply, not to mention that I only saw that in a comment, but maybe that explains something? - if such things can be counted as an "explanation."
