Shut this dog food ad up!!

Amen to Jamiedude2's post .  +1.

I wanted to wait until these 9 games were played before I vote (Home/home vs CLE and with TEX.  I believed if they won 6/9 they were a good team that got ambushed by a better team that is en fuego!  5 wins, a decent team that's better than the nobodies, but not up the elite, but they got en fuego  for 5 weeks. Four wins means they are like the rest--and just got really lucky, but they won't die and finish last. Three wins means "They Quit" and last place is not only a possibility but a near certainty.

A lot of people are giving the FO a high five because all this losing proves that getting help at the deadline was a lost cause.  How about taking the FO to task for creating a team, with so little proven talent, that could melt down like this in the first place?  Really want to pat Ryan on the back for this roster? Wanna pat him on the back for thinking re-signing Pelfrey, Suzuki and Hughes was really a good idea. Pelfrey never proved he should be re-signed and one quality year in careers as long as Hughes and Suzuki scream outliers.  How about Santana?  Sign a guy, gets suspended, then comes back and gets rocked.  Santana, our trade deadline guy!

I pat Ryan on the back for letting us see a lot of youngsters come up.  I think more should come up too. Berrios and Kepler would be nice. Truth is, our great month of May didn't automatically make me believe this roster was actually a good team, and many thought the same thing. Ryan put together another clunker, as he has the last couple years. One of the few things he's done well, trading for May, gets tarnished because of the ridiculous idea to throw him in the pen, stunting his growth as a MLB starter yet another year.  Way to build for the future.

Another question related to this - will the Twins reach 90+ losses again. We are at 55-56. 51 games left. We would need to go 17-34 to hit 90 losses. There are 16 series left in the season. At our current rate, we have been winning only 1 game per series. We have not won a series since the All-Star break. Could the Twins lose out for all remaining series? Assuming at most 1 win per series, that would put us at 16-35 for the remaining schedule. And a 71-91 season record. This might even result in the worst record in the American League (again). But I don't think we will get the top draft pick. Miami and Milwaukee are way ahead of us there.

last year we went 19-32 in our last 51 games.  If we repeat that, we end up with 74 wins and 88 losses.
