Says his fastball has creeped up a bit from college and now can sit in the 90-93 range and Rogers could be a backend starter or a bullpen piece.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 From Brice Zimmerman, the Miracle play-by-play guy, Rogers was consistently hitting 94 there in 2013. I don't know why more people don't rank him higher. I have him at 11-12, and if I re-did my rankings, I think he'd be higher yet. he's legit. Skinny, but legit.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Twins have really been moving him along! Very good stats at every level. Maybe a mid-year callup?
laloesch Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I think this kid is legit. His stuff isn't super flashy but if his velocity continues to tick up slowly while retaining that pin point accuracy of his, he's definitely a sleeper prospect. AND he's a southpaw!
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Statistically, Rogers doesn't look a whole lot different than Sean Gilmartin on a more normal promotion schedule.
