Star Tribune's LaVelle Neal wrote about Kyle Gibson. A year ago, he came to spring training looking to make the Opening Day roster while at the same time waiting with his wife for her to have the couple's first child.

Their daughter just took her first steps. Gibson made the Opening Day roster and got through his first full season. He wants to be more consistent. He also wants to get more strikeouts while not losing his ground ball abilities.

This is a terrific article

Really good guy.  Luck of the draw chance ended up sitting with members of his family at the Port Charlotte OF tables in a ST game couple years ago.  Good people and all of them are down to earth.   Got a chance to have a couple of words after his almost no-hitter there.  Told him "see you in Minneapolis next week" and he just shook his head.  Really well-grounded guy.  I think that the Twins got a gem in him.

One concern: That velocity drop.  And I am not sure whether it was Andy or something, I'd love to see him what he can do mixing in the 4-seamer at 95-96 again...
