Gardy rumors

Gardy rumors have already started.  Tony La Russa, in charge of the Diamondbacks and recently hired Dave Stewart as GM, is "sure" that Gardy's name will come up when looking for a new manager.

 

"La Russa tells Piecoro that when it comes to a manager, the team is looking for a candidate that can “lead and inspire.” Previous managerial experience sounded important to La Russa, who stated, “…when you start managing the game, the more that you’ve pulled the trigger as a manager somewhere, there is an art to that.” Asked specifically about recently dismissed Twins manager Ron Gardenhire, La Russa said he is “sure” that Gardenhire’s name will come up during their search."

Of course his name is going to come up in discussions.  But the name I've heard associated more often with the DBs is Steinbach.  It's going to be an interesting off-season.

Luckily for Steinbach he was the bench coach for Gardy, meaning he got plenty of experience "pulling the trigger" due to Gardy getting kicked out so often...
