Wow, another double off of a deflection by a Sox defender; this means that they should be catching certain balls, and aren't quite getting there.

Did the Sox sign Marquis last night and throw him in the rotation?

It appears they did indeed.

And Willingham finally comes through against Floyd and makes him pay for walking Mauer. DOPE!!!!!!!!!! Morneau hits a three-run dinger on an 82 (seriously? That slow?) mph 2-seam fastball!

I have to say, the first pitch to dunn, at least on Gameday, looked like a really, really good pitch. Same with the second pitch to Konerko. This ump appears to have a seriously small strike zone. Good job by Walters to get Konerko to GIDP.

Yeah, I'd say it's been erratic.

Ohh, Walters had better be careful, hitting someone after one of your guys was hit, and especially against a division rival, is just asking for trouble later...:|

I don't think it's too much of a worry. Esp after he threw one about 10 feet wide, right to the backstop.

After coming on for the extremely ineffective Floyd, Stewart has only allowed two baserunners and has three strikeouts. He has also only thrown 44 pitches in 3 1/3 innings, where Floyd threw 88 in 3 2/3. Hopefully, Stewart won't be available tomorrow, because after our breakout against Floyd he has shut us down.

Walters has continued his effectiveness, as he has thrown only 79 pitches in 7 innings of pitching. He has only given up 3 hits, allowed only one run, struck out four, and walked two.

I like how often Walters changes speeds. When they guess right they put a good swing on it but it is mostly guess work. Try to name the pitch or the speed, it is always changing in the same situations. Hes going to allow a few homers. But I think even when he cools off and he will, he can still pitch in the majors. I like this kid

P.J. Strikes out the side???!!!??? Nice! And please don't let this be a fluke first few starts. Thanks. Love beating up on them smelly sox.

That's stamina for you, Walters is still able to throw a 91 mph fastball, and then he follows it up with a 78 mph slider. He then throws practically the same pitch sequence to Escobar, and induces another strikeout. Walters has only thrown 89 pitches; do the Twins let him come back out, or do they bring in a reliever?

He just struck out the side on like 9 pitches and has an 8 run lead.......are you feeling ok?

Have you seen the Twins over the years? They don't always let the pitcher on cruise control finish the game. Can't think of specific examples, but I know it has happened.
