Everybody remembers Yankees/Red Sox but the Yanks and Baltimore had a darn good rivalry in the late 90s. The brawl was freaking awesome.

Steinbrenner absolutely despised Peter Angelos and the Orioles. Joel Sherman wrote an excellent book about the '96 Yankees ("Birth of a Dynasty") and a lot of it focuses on the Yankees-Orioles rivalry.

 

I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good book (I hate the Yankees and I have read it twice).

 

 

Yes, I realize this brawl was from '98 but it still applies.
