Rosario Selfish and Reckless...Twins should sever ties...

Twins Video

Do I understand this correctly? Eddie Rosario a top prospect for the MN Twins, smoked pot KNOWING..he could be tested for illegal substances?

I wont engage in the merits or dangers of smoking MJ. However if you have the world in front of you and YOU HAVE TO SMOKE WEED...isn't is just a matter of time before your character catches up with you? I have to believe it is....

I think this shows long term weakness and once he comes back if he puts up great numbers..I urge the Twins to trade him, he is a ticking time bomb.

And now we learn Rosario has two little kids and a wife to take care of...cut him mn now..this guy is reckless and not worth the distress!!

“Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.” It's easy to imagine, from afar, why someone would "ruin" the opportunity of a life time, but we have no idea what this young man is facing/has faced. My hope is that he is able to resolve the challenge w/out needing to risk losing his chosen career, and that in a couple years we are hearing him say in interviews how he is grateful for the Twins organization for believing in him, and for believing that he could someday be an All Star, and that he graces Target Field for many years to come.

I am glad you are perfect. He said he made a mistake, he admitted it and he is paying for it. This is costing him more then it would ever cost you. Get off your high horse.

I think you should smoke a joint and calm down a little.

I've always been of the opinion that the stupid stuff you do before you are 25 should be easily forgiven.

Rosario won't be 25 until late in 2016 so I'm prepared to give him more chances. I hope he gets it together for his sake and for the sake of his family. From the Twins' standpoint, I'd be concerned but it does seem like the organization has been handling this well.

then they should also release Anthony Swarzak for being suspended 50 games for that same thing... and Kennys Vargas for his PED test...

If I was that age with a wife and two kids, I'd light up too.

Plus, the only thing he's good at is catching touchdowns. Who'd want a guy like that?

I guess the main thought is that, at his age, we should lighten up. Your call on how to interpret that.

Agreed on the selfish and reckless part. It shows very poor judgement to break your contract, especially knowing the stakes. He 100% deserved the suspension.

I think the team can do more to help him, and themselves, by holding on to him and providing the EAP.

As far as I know, this isn't a safety issue yet.

He was tested and suspended, following the rules. That's as far as it needs to go.

I think they should release every player who ever made a mistake. Then they'd have no players, but at least they'd only have mistake-free ones.

Why didn't Gardy pinch hit Hicks for Fuld there?

I am EXTREMELY glad that this is his "problem." He will be looking fine in LF with Buxton in CF and Hicks in RF at the start of 2015.

He and/or his wife are obviously very fertile and should be removed from the organization immediately. Same goes for Mauer and his twins. As a matter of fact, family is nothing but a distraction. I bet that's why Mauer is striking out so much this year.

Really? How many persons here got arrested for pubic intoxication or some similar offense in college? I think the last three U.S. Presidents all admitted to smoking pot, they just didn't have to get tested. Making mistakes is a natural part of life and I am guessing that he will work even harder when he comes back.

Love the Buddy Ryan / Cris Carter reference..

No one knows how Rosario will turn out, but it wouldn't hurt to try to help him.
