  1. Yes I made my point. Still nobody knows my opinion on Rocco, they assume I'm a "defender". That is not the case, I just haven't offered an opinion. What I have done is call out people who break a code of common decency against any human. Lump it
  2. My point was "Mr Twins Fan" should reserve talk like that to a person's face. I'm guessing he, "Mr Twins Fan" would decline that option.
  3. If you go sailing with RpR I suggest a lifejacket!
  4. I'm still in the 4th inning, but it appears a good strategy is to just hit it at Pham, lol.
  5. Wait I thought Rocco gave guys too many days off.
  6. Figured we'd see Louie in the pen sometime between September 1 and 15. This is it outside of a possible bullpen role for Paddack, the Twins are out of ammo. Paddack is a long shot. Nothing is guaranteed, but I'm rooting for Louie make a nice big league career from here on out in the pen. He'll be fired up and this role could be a good fit for him on many levels
  7. Maybe they read all your posts on the subject and just got ground down. Carry on with the cage rattling!!
  8. Maybe they should move Lewis to wide receiver, lol.
  9. I'm biased because I've been saying for a while that Lewis should move to 2nd or even left if it benefitted the team. This lineup needs the best bats playing. He can do it, there may be some growing pains, but he is a ballplayer. Lewis is not a short stop. Even Miranda has looked better at 3rd, and Jose's bat must be in the lineup. Lewis is used to being talked about as a phenom, a superstar. In the last 28 days he has an OPS of .614. He has been asked to move positions. How does he handle this situation? His first rough stretch at the big league level. This is the stretch run, everybody has to lay it all on the table. I hope the young man rises to the occasion in the field and at the plate.
  10. This is the young man's mercurial phase, the first failure can be hard, but oh man that smile...
  11. It's a form of acupuncture.
  12. Louie did come in as the opener for St Paul in his last outing for 5 good innings. I think they are slightly altering his routine to prep for his impending move to the pen. Getting ready during the game is a different routine
  13. As reported by Nate Palmer of Twins Daily, "As Baldelli continued to move the chess pieces, next up was Griffin Jax to face the Rays' 2-3-4 batters. Jax very clearly has become the most trusted reliever in the Twins bullpen, and deploying him in the seventh Monday evening was further evidence of that." Lol
  14. If you are giving me advice, like scroll on by, no. I choose not to.
  15. What are you asking me? You are not clear.
  16. This is exactly what kills me, it must be a product of our polarized national discourse. Can't I just be in the middle? Can't I silently disagree with things that happen in a game while being annoyed by repetitive bellyaching, lol? IT'S BORING that's why I push back not due to homerism.
  17. This is the same thing I do. Here are some examples of the same complaints and doomsday whining that happens over and over again; The game is over in the 4th inning, this is not a playoff team, Baldelli does not have the fire to motivate this team, the coaches do not teach fundamentals, they can't beat the best teams and are not a true contender, Buxton and Correa are overpaid, always injured and the front office was too incompetent to see what other teams saw, etc. It goes on and on. There are good counterpoints to these complaints, but when the same complaints are made over and over it wears down intelligent discussion and relegates what is a good site to the cesspool of places like the Strib and Twitter. When you look at the game threads now, all the good, witty posters have been driven out and the creativity is gone. Sad.
  18. Obviously my joke flopped, lol. They are in a good spot, but they have to get back on track.
  19. Nice win, had to have it. Lewis at 2nd who'd a thunk it, lol? Didn't even get hurt. He didn't get all of that one, but he got it out and let's hope he gets rolling. Ober bounced back and was in control. Now let start stacking the series wins again.
