  1. Not really panicking lol. I just don’t see what’s there besides speed. He walks a ton, and when he does put it in the zone he gets hit. And that goes back for two seasons. I’m a fan of pitchers, not the radar gun. That’s all I’m saying. That being said, he’s ours now and I hope he is great! In the mean time Tyler Wells deserves the top 30 and he isn’t in it for some reason.
  2. Tyler Wells>Tyler Jay. But Jay is still top 30. The fact that Wells is no longer in the top 30 and Alcala is number 11 is ridiculous. Alcala has been quite bad. Ratings really don’t reflect reality
  3. Tyler Wells (unless I’m mistaken) has the best pitching numbers in the entire organization. Supreme steal of a draft. I hope he goes to Arizona and big league spring training. Time to push him a little.
  4. Charlie Barnes is having a solid season. Alcala once again flops. I said before, I don’t hate that he throws near 100, but that doesn’t matter if you have no control of it and get hit when when you do put it in the zone.
  5. Royce and Alex are probably exhausted! I suspect neither will go to Arizona because of that.
  6. For the record I don’t blame Jay the person for sucking. Things happen. It isn’t personal. But hitting batters, walking guys in crucial spots, it’s about stuff, it’s about control. And that stuff is often mental not physical. I’m sure he’s a fine guy, he just didn’t work out. Just like Kohl Stewart is also a first round mistake. It’s just not going to happen I’m afraid.
  7. Pretty sad when the 33rd round guy who got nothing (Beeker) does ten times better than the 3.8 million dollar 1st rounder (Jay).
  8. Great job by Vasquez. And Q. Tyler Wells did a decent job, not great but good. Too many hits in this one but they aren’t scoring and that’s always a great sign for a pitcher. I’ll take it all day.
  9. It doesn’t sound like he pitched quite as bad as the numbers look.
  10. Not in the ones that matter most. And a minor league whip of 1.40 and a .300 average against. NOT first round acceptable at all.
  11. The difference in Stewart and Berrios is that Berrios was WAYYYYY better in the minors than Stewart ever has been. Stewart’s numbers in the minors except this year would have gotten most everyone else released.
  12. I feel bad for the guy, it’s not personal whatsoever. He seems like a really good kid. But Stewart just doesn’t look like MLB material. They missed the mark on this first rounder. But they have millions of dollars into him, so they’re going to keep trying to make it happen. Appel 2.0
  13. Lol I am not sure how he skipped Wells in that either. The fact is, if he were a top 5 rounder, he would be in the top ten prospects. 230+ pro innings and a 2.90 era, 10.2 k/9 and a 1.04 whip is better than almost all the top round guys in the last 3 drafts. Including the top college draft guys (because someone will point out the couple years difference in the low levels, which were right on average for each level, but anyway). I love underdogs like he and Vasquez. I loathe that they don't get the deserved credit for such a long time. God forbid the scouts were, dare I say it, wrong
  14. Nice last two outing for Enns. I am shocked he's still here but I suppose he's improving. And hey Lookouts, how about spreading those runs around over a few games lol.
  15. You have Alex Kiriloff and Tyler Wells leading or near leading the ENTIRE minor leagues in some stats. I’d say it was a pretty damn good draft year.
  16. Jaylin is another great mid round pick up. Some scouts are gonna get a raise.
  17. That would be insane to see Wells get a September call up, but doesn’t he have to be on the 40 man? I would think he’s a shoe in for AFL and even a major league spring training invite. Anyone agree? I looked at his numbers and they are among the top 10 in all of minor leagues. Whip being probably the best in the entire system of all teams with that many starts. I’d love to see him, Kirilloff, and Lewis in Arizona and Big league camp. They simply deserve a shot to be tested.
  18. Given Tyler Wells has some of the best starter numbers in the organization, if not the best, I would hope they send him. I love what Moran is doing also
