  1. While true, my point is that Garver should be playing virtually every day. Today isn't a day game after a night game, so there isn't any reason that I can see for Wilson getting the starting nod.
  2. I'd put Wilson in that category too.
  3. I'm no doctor, but I don't think watching this team will help at all.
  4. No events that I was aware of. I'm pretty sure, but not completely positive, that they weren't there to see my wife and I. Perfect weather up there this past weekend. 75-80 degrees and sunny, no humidity or wind. It was harder than usual to head home.
  5. Van, I've got an unrelated to most everything question. Why were there so many Texans up on the North Shore of Superior this past weekend? I started questioning whether I went the wrong direction on I-35.
  6. Good to see Garver get rewarded for his recent fine play and heroics yesterday...
  7. This says so many things on so many levels that I'm wondering if I'm somehow stuck in Inception.
  8. While I agree that carrying six starters is stupid, the fact that Molitor won't use Magill renders the argument about the front office kind of moot, IMO. Secondly, Molitor could have simply used his sixth starter out of the pen.
  9. Correct. Even if it's something minor at the deadline, that's something. All I ask is to see a direction one way or another. Doing nothing with where they're at constitutes indecision in my view. They have plenty of areas that can be improved upon and they have some assets that can be sold. Either direction can be justified right now.
  10. The only thing worse than doing nothing is indecision. That's not something that I want in a front office.
  11. I wouldn't be opposed to that either. I do like that they have options to mix and match for next years rotation, with both veterans and prospects. I think that's a very good thing.
  12. Agreed, there's no reason to tear it down completely. Trading the pending FA's makes sense, but anyone that is still in the long term plans should remain or at least garner one heck of a haul in return. I'm not sure where Gibson falls in that discussion yet, but it doesn't hurt to shop him. Nothing says that they have to deal him. It could be argued that there are young starters knocking on the door for next season, if they're not already. With Lynn and Santana gone as FA's, they have May and Pineda coming back plus Romero, Gonsalves and Mejia all at AAA or on the current roster. May and Pineda could end up in the pen, but there is some depth there.
  13. Trading one starting pitcher is gutting the team? One of the best trade chips is an established starter. I wouldn't be opposed to them keeping him, but I do think they should dangle him to see who bites. If they don't hear anything that interests them, there's no need to deal him. I want to see how he does next season before I give him an extension, but I'm not taking any options to improve this team off the table. The Twins are in a pretty decent spot regarding Gibson. Either teams meet their demands for a trade or the Twins keep him. That's a win/win situation.
  14. Jays playing some sloppy ball today. Sheesh.
  15. Heads up baserunning by Rosario!
  16. Are we still talking the roast or diehardtwinsfan?
  17. So the new extreme of the shift has been set. Dozier has shifted so far on an opponent that he's on a different field. Got it.
  18. When did Motter get called back up?
  19. The best magicians don't give away their secrets...
  20. You make tequila funny.
  21. Are you basting it in tequila?
  22. For me, I think it's a good thing. I have enough vices and I started getting into gin more last summer. I don't need start liking tequila too.
