  1. Happy to give you a break from the misery that is the Twins!
  2. Probably some recent rule change that got buried by all of the sticky stuff talk.
  3. Sigh. Score a run and give it right back... ...and in this case, the hitter replaces the guy in scoring position.
  4. That might take too long! The game might be over before you even get to the players!
  5. Start at the top of the order and work your way down!
  6. Was that boot as brutal as it sounded on the radio?
  7. It's the radio team's birthday today, both Danny and Cory. You could make a drinking game out of how many times they've said "birthday".
  8. Agreed. His glovework has been disappointing, to say the least.
  9. Without looking at the field dimensions, I'd say LF has more area to cover. RF is tough though because the outfield wall has five different materials to learn how the ball comes off of them. Plus the weird overhang. I'm not so sure that's a great spot for him either.
  10. I wonder how many times this team has wasted a RISP only to give up a run the very next half inning. It seems to be very common. Rather demoralizing.
  11. Every time I hear someone say Seby Zavala, I hear Telly Savalas. It always takes me a second to process that.
  12. I like seeing Larnach and Kirilloff hitting at the heart of the order. Nice glimpse into the future.
  13. I think this deadline will be as interesting as any deadline in recent memory. And not all for good reasons, but interesting nonetheless. Between the CBA expiring, the economic aftermath of COVID and now the sticky stuff implications, I'm very curious to see how trades materialize, particularly for pitchers. As for the Twins in particular, I tend to think that the price for Berrios should be sky high. Donaldson's return will likely depend on how salary the Twins will eat. The direction that the FO takes in trading players under contract beyond next season will tell us what they're plan moving forward is.
  14. This is interesting to me. I haven't been able to watch many games, but only listen on the radio or follow via Gamecast, so it's more difficult for me to judge. I've referred to the 2016 team as being the dumbest team I've ever seen. If this team is giving the 2016 team a run for that title, then it's probably better that I can't watch them.
  15. The big thing with that inning is that both of the walks scored, albeit aided by the defensive blunders. But they scored nonetheless. Those two runs alone beat the Twins. Berrios had a very good game, but the box score doesn't tell you everything. Those walks were huge. Going against Rodon, there's no guarantee that a team will score much. Especially true when that team is the Twins.
  16. That seems to cover it. It's alright though. It coordinates well with an offense that sometimes requires a balk, a walk and a wild pitch to score a run.
  17. This was working better when Berrios was just striking everyone out. He didn't have to rely on his defense.
