  1. No such thing exists, Squirrel.
  2. Tellin' ya! oven on, open door!
  3. This is the part where @USAFChiefsays the low at his place was like 65 or something!
  4. It actually broke 50 here today...
  5. That's probably about right. Not a warm night and the two games I've been too, against better opponents, haven't been well attended either.
  6. I have no idea what that means, but I'll accept it as a good thing! Man, I'm getting old...
  7. Short sleeves? Paris ain't gonna like that!
  8. You didn't hear, it's the latest in mound fashion!
  9. Apparently there would have been this time if he had only remember to eat said "lunch".
  10. Some of that will only come from experience, unfortunately. The footwork required will also be messy for a while too in all likelihood.
  11. It'll be interesting to see how the Twins bats fare against Pineda. He has the kind of mix that can baffle a lineup like the Twins. I'm guessing we'll be seeing a lot of Buxton at DH sprinkled into this 13 game stretch. I'm fine with that, just keep his bat in the lineup as much as possible.
  12. I was thinking about the piggybacking aspect too. It does make some sense, but I was trying to figure out what happens if you get a short start from someone between Archer starts. What happens then? Do you carry a second long reliever? Do you throw Winder again? Can't do that on back to back days. With the condensed schedule and option limits, I think this is a bigger consideration than what we're used to. I agree on AK playing 1B and would DH Sano. Sanchez can sit as far as I'm concerned. Keep Larnach up and send Celestino down. If you keep Winder up, you send Larnach down too to get to 26.
  13. My sports superstition is out of control and I despise these types of things... ...but will live by them all day long until they stop working!
  14. Kepler's approach is, and always has been, good. It's quite baffling that he doesn't hit for a higher average because of that. Some of that is trying to hit into the shift, but that can't be all of it. Weak contact adds to that. One thing that I noticed in Sunday's game is that you could see him trying to go up the middle or to leftfield. If he's going to have any sustainable success, he's got to use all fields more. Add in harder contact and he can be more like the hitter he was 2019.
  15. It probably depends on the player, but they've only got 5 off days between now and the AS break. With the shortened spring training and condensed schedule, I think you'll see a lot of relatively odd resting schedules for players. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened for most of the season.
  16. You mean that you don't have Clint Eastwood's Greatest Hits? I thought for sure that you'd have an original pressing somewhere!
  17. Definitely true about the 9th. He's had his issues in other innings too, but the 9th is definitely the biggest adventure.
  18. And if the second guy reached, he'd have to pitch to a third. But since he got the one out to finish the inning, he can be replaced.
  19. Two outs, so all he has to do is finish the inning.
  20. I hear ya. You were just misunderstood!
  21. Duffey has at least been not awful in his last couple of outings.
  22. You just meant that it was the first one after the first one, right?
