  1. There's nothing more beautiful than a well manicured mustache. Well, maybe 1976 Farrah Fawcett, or the first taste of a cold beer after a hard day's work, but other than that, it's the mustache. I'm looking forward to seeing if the stache can build on a very successful 2014 season.
  2. Third place would be a significant accomplishment for the current group of twins players.
  3. I love your optomism. I love the hope, the dreams. Actual starting 5 in 2016 Phil Hughes Ervin Santana Ricky Nolasco Kyle Gibson Trevor May I hope to see more of the youngsters in that rotation, I just don't think we will, not when the club heads north. But it's very likely May and MAYBE even Berrios could be options out of the pen.
  4. When can we get a website about Minnesota Craft breweries? I'll hang up and take my answer off air, thanks.
  5. I don't think Javier will have the same franchise impact as Sano has had/will have, but it's a fun idea. You can never have too many SS prospects in your system.
  6. Aaron Hicks will find success in 2015 and have a better average and on base percentage than Dozier. If only he could get that slugging percentage up a bit more too. Go Hicks!
  7. Or maybe Prior's arm would have fallen off anyways, or the Twins player development people would not have been able to turn his talent into success the way it happened in Chicago. Or maybe the Twins wouldn't have been able to sign him. I think it's worth noting that taking a chance at making a playoff team a WS contender is a risk worth taking, but I'm not sure Prior would have moved that quickly through the Twins organization. I'm still not convinced that there is a way the Twins lose in the grand scheme by drafting Mauer over Prior. But it's fun to think about.
  8. After reading "Brian Dinkelman will also be a hitting coach in the GCL" I couldn't concentrate on the rest of the article. Too much joy.
  9. This is awesome. "The Twins four triple steals that year did tie the major league record. In one game on May 18th, both Carew and Cesar Tovar stole home in the same at-bat. More astounding? Killebrew was the batter." Mind bendingly awesome.
  10. Thrylos, I was amazed how many different guys played RF/CF and even more in LF! Yikes. The Twins will likely struggle in their attempt to have league average OF defense. I hope Torii and Hicks aren't as bad as the numbers say, but I tend to believe the numbers more than bet against them. Ricky Nolasco prays daily for rangy outfield types who can mash taters and make his job a little easier. Hopefully someone answers his prayers.
  11. http://assets.podomatic.net/ts/19/ad/da/paulpleiss/1400x1400-382x382+58+60_10409070.jpeg Miguel Sano! Byron Buxton! Eddie Rosario! Baseball! LIVE BASEBALL! WELCOME BACK BASEBALL FANS! Baseball is back in Twins Territory with the return of Spring Training baseball on television and the sound of the crack of the bat. We're back for our third full season of Twins baseball. This week we talk all about Spring Training, we review the roster, and of course, Beer, Baseball, and the News. http://talk2contact.podomatic.com
  12. Smart commenters, everyone hating on Nunez together, I like it. No room for a second utility infielder on this team, especially one with limited defensive and offensive ability. he doesn't do either well, or even relatively well. The only plus skill he has is losing his helmet running the basees.
  13. I really see this only going one of two ways. Graham is either a boss and sticks, or he goes back to ATL. I don't think there's a scenario where the Braves let Graham stay if he doesn't make the Twins.
  14. The Twins hit 128 home runs last season. They have not, as a team, hit 200+ homeruns since they did it in back to back seasons in 63/64. The core of this team has a chance to do that. I don't think 2015 is that year, but 2016/2017? Look out. This team should mash taters. I like them for 161, which is a significant improvement from last season, but only 10 more than they hit in 2013.
  15. "I'm all about that base. No trouble" - Brian Dozier, after flipping his hair beautifully.
  16. Why isn't Brian Dinkelman on this list? He's the most marketable of all. BrDink!

We dive into that assumption and figure out what the heck the Twins are doing for the next couple weeks. We're joined this week by Jeremy Nygaard from TwinsDaily.com to talk more about prospects, pitching, and even a little fantasy baseball. Then, as always, beer, baseball, and the news. 19. What Spring Training Means: Nothing. See: Aaron Hicks.
  20. Ricky "Tikki Tikki Tembo-no Sa Rembo-chari Bari Ruchi-pip Peri Pembo" Nolasco has a big challenge in front of him in 2015. He needs to win a fanbase back, a fanbase who was first very excited at his arrival, and then disgusted with his performance. A successful Nolasco will be a key component of any Twins team hoping to smell .500
  21. I like young Mr. Harrison. I don't care much for prospect lists anymore, other than to find the differences in particular lists and what that may/may not mean about the player or list maker. Anyway, Harrison has strong upside, and I think a high floor. I like.
  22. I don't need questions, I need answers. Thanks, Nick.

Reviewing the roster this week we dive deeper on Glen Perkins, Eddie Rosario, and Phil Hughes. And then, beer, baseball and the news. Thanks for listening and enjoy our show. We go down on the pond and talk about Cameron Booser (Jay nicknames him Boose, era of lame nicknames, indeed), and we go all around the league talking beer, baseball and the news. We also review the 40 man roster a bit more with JR Graham, Ervin Santana, and Brian Dozier. Plus beer, baseball, and the news! Thanks for listening and enjoy our show.
