  1. If you wait too long you lose the ability to edit.
  2. Great setup today. Thanks, diehard. I lived in the Boston area for 3 years. The driving was no fun and the weather was worse. However, the women were unforgettable and remain so. I am praying that the Twins score more runs tonight.
  3. That would be a waste of money and a risk of an expensive lawsuit.
  4. 10. Paralegals. Can never have enough good ones.
  5. I have to go to a Move On picnic, but will follow the score by asking the google woman who lives in my new smart phone.
  6. Great setup by Indiana Twin today. I want to see more from him. As for moderators being absent, sometimes we lurk like highway patrolpersons behind an overpass.
  7. I understand the exuberance of the original poster. The Twins beat Kluber and the Indians, and Gibson did better today than some of our other starters. Tomorrow the Twins might be back in first place. That possibility is intoxicating. It's easy to lose perspective when a team has a great game or a poor one, and there is at least a possibility that Gibson may get it together this year.
  8. I have a very important client who insisted on texting. Once his matter is done then the smart phone will go into a drawer.
  9. My wife cannot name a single Twins player, past or present.
  10. Since I got my first smart phone yesterday the woman inside tells me that the Twins are leading whenever I ask her for the score. I am not using game day so long as she keeps up the good news.
  11. Next time around you need to cover that in the prenup.
  12. And when I ask her for the score in the Indians game she tells me that the Indians are trailing and she sounds a little sad about that. I think that she has been programmed to be happy when the team you ask about is winning and sad when the team you ask about is losing.
  13. She sounds very enthusiastic when she announces that the Twins are "leading".
  14. The google woman who lives in my new smart phone seems thrilled that the Twins are winning. I wonder if she is programmed that way or is actually a Twins fan.
  15. Until today I have always used a flip phone. But one of my clients insists on texting, which is tough on a flip phone. So i got a smart phone that arrived this afternoon. The first thing that i did on the smart phone was to ask for the Twins score. It told me that the Twins were winning 3-0 in the second inning. I figured that it must be broken.
  16. I hope that the Twins did everything that they could to get today's game declared a rainout. If I were Falvine, I would have encouraged the groundskeepers to turn on the sprinklers all night last night knowing the weather report and today's pitching matchup. Predictably, our starter got killed, and the Twins are going to be exhausted tomorrow and perhaps all weekend in Cleveland.
  17. It's difficult for me to imagine a worse matchup.
  18. I am praying for more rain and a better pitching matchup in August.
  19. Not me. It's OK to take advantage of bad teams in baseball.
  20. That sounds good, but the Twins are not the only team that needs a better #4 or #5 and who would be willing to pay for that. I suspect that they are trying every day to come up with better pitching, but the pickings seem slim.
  21. Clearly we live in a world where there is a deplorable level of prejudice and persecution. Yet if you apply the concept of SSS to history, perhaps you will feel better. I grew up in the South and remember colored bathrooms and open use of the N word. I remember a young African American being taken to the police station, being beaten to death and there being no consequences. How much progress we have made is debatable, but the general arc of history seems to me to be going in a positive direction. It also seems to me that such progress is earned by those who are enlightened enough to perceive injustice and brave enough to fight against it. Trump and others want to take us backwards. We must work even harder to move forward.
  22. I bought SQ after reading this board and researching it elsewhere. So far so good. I thank my fellow TD members for putting it on my radar. Question -- where do you go to research stocks and who do you trust? I mainly look at seekingalpha.com and morningstar.com, then I carefully read the income statements and balance sheets for the past 3 years. I am wondering how the rest of you approach deciding on a stock.
  23. It's gonna be hard to forget Lynda Carter -- she set a high bar.
  24. I would like to be an arch nemesis of Supergirl. I would never tire of her capturing me.
