  1. Seems like a good kid. I wish him great success.
  2. I bought this by selling a put at $165 that was taken out, then I hedged by selling covered calls. Despite the options hedges, I am way down at the current price. I am still bullish on FB in the long term. With over 2 billion active users they have a good base to grow profits over time.
  3. Hopefully it plays out in the long run, but there is lots of well funded competition.
  4. I think that Joe has made a wise decision and I wish him all the best.
  5. Agreed, but with the qualification that 150+ games and travel every 3 to 4 days can wear down some players more than others. Also, one or two bad apples can hurt the team morale.
  6. For some people a long home run by one of our players is a beautiful thing. We all know that a 500 foot bomb counts for only one run, but please also consider that Jennifer Lawrence is only one woman.
  7. The offseason handbook is always a good read. The guest authors will make it even better.
  8. Great article, and this kid sounds like a great kid with a lot of talent and potential.
  9. I was trimming and hedging, but not enough. If you had the cash, what stock would you buy first and when?
  10. Moderator note -- please refrain from calling Sano names.
  11. Thank you Tom for providing a quality recap for every game. Please enjoy a well-deserved vacation.
  12. I was referring to non-professionals who grow for their own use and to give away to friends.
  13. This is a WEED. In a place with good weather (or indoors with some expertise) it's easy to grow very strong marijuana. I know people who have done so with very little effort. I agree with you about potential for companies that can turn the plant material into beverages, edibles and drugs. I am considering a position in KO for that reason.
  14. I am very wary about investing in something that people can easily grow in their back yards (and closets) for next to nothing. I am looking for a way to short this sector, but may go long on KO.
  15. Be fearful when others are greedy.
  16. It sounds like Tyler Wells has great upside. Losing that much weight requires huge discipline, which should serve him well as he unlocks his full potential. I would love to see this kid surpass Kluber and think that's possible if he works hard and stays healthy.
  17. Clearly he is a great human being, which is even more important than being a great baseball player. Fortunately it appears that he is both and that he will work hard to be ready for a long, successful MLB career.
  18. A very interesting article and very well written. If only one of these guys sticks that will be a very good thing.
