  1. Great article, Nick. I share the concern that something is missing.
  2. An article on the Twins' website suggests that Sano is approaching this in a positive manner: "He got behind this winter, and it's been kind of an uphill battle," Molitor said. "We're going to work on his performance in baseball and his swing, just bring him along. We're going to listen to him. We're going to stay in touch. We're going to be supportive, because we know that we need him long term." Sano said going to Fort Myers will also allow him to get the timing back in his swing in a lower-pressure environment, while working alongside the Twins' coaching staff. "I'm not mad. I'm happy, because I know I'm struggling, and [Molitor] gave me an opportunity," Sano said. "There's no reason I can get mad." "He needs to be the guy we think he can be," Molitor said. "He's not there right now. We have to take a step backwards here and determine the steps moving forward. But we like our coaches and facility there with a lot of things we can control more there." Let's hope that this works out for Sano and the team.
  3. We could report TC Bear to trick you into paying attention.
  4. Tom, your work has been both exceptional and consistent. We are blessed to have you creating these threads and for everything else that you do here.
  5. This is an encouraging article. I wonder why Van Steensel is not being promoted. And why we don't see him on the prospect list on the Twins' website. http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2018?list=min
  6. I am my office "watching" on Gamecast and hoping that Buxton will bunt.
  7. Very tough loss, but Romero and Kepler were excellent.
  8. There are only two bad things about SC: 1. traffic. 2. RB lives too far away,
  9. When I coached little league we had a Dodgers' pitcher come teach all of the coaches about how to teach kids how to pitch. He asked for volunteers to catch him and my hand went up first. Later he told me that he was throwing "only" about 80 MPH. To me it seemed a lot faster. Catching is not easy.
  10. Sano was not in the top 5 players who I would want to make that catch.
  11. This is it -- just come back when the game starts.
  12. Thanks Ted. I appreciate the work that went into this report. You made it easy to get the highlights and you packaged them well.
  13. I don't disagree, but would note that Buxton has shown flashes of a very high ceiling, and some established major leaguers (like Lynn) have also played poorly for long stretches. I would think that lots of teams would be willing to trade a lot for Buxton.
  14. I was at the game on Thursday night and the Angels' third baseman was playing him deep. Any decent bunt towards third base would have been an easy single. Instead Buxton flailed and failed.
  15. Another great intro by RB. I threw out my back last night, but with the aid of muscle relaxers I hope to be at the game tonight.
  16. If we could spread them out then world peace would be possible.
