  1. As I have said on other threads, the chances of the Twins signing Greinke seem very remote. Why would Greinke want to move from a contender to a cellar dweller? And I can think of many teams who would bid high to get Greinke.
  2. I did something I rarely do - I changed the channel. Normally I suffer in silence the whole nine innings, but right now I'm watching the Lynx on NBA-TV. And I don't really like basketball. Because of the time difference I need to DVR the games to catch the first few innings, but now I have stopped bothering. Just too painful to watch.
  3. I like the idea of someone from the Tampa Bay organization.
  4. If the rain stops' date=' you will see the answer my friend.[/quote'] ... and then some. On the other hand, the Rangers are making a lot of errors. So anything can happen.
  5. If the rain stops, you will see the answer my friend.
  6. Rain, blessed rain. Maybe the Twins won't lose today after all.
  7. It would be better to just start a fight and keep it going until the whole team gets ejected.
  8. Agreed. This is torture.
  9. And today the agony begins with a leadoff home run by the Rangers.
  10. That was indeed merciful!
  11. I respectfully disagree. I would pay extra to see Butera play SS. This season is getting agonizing, and it would be fun for me to see something more interesting than what we have been seeing.
  12. That sounds like fun to me.
  13. This is something worthwhile and it would be nice if you could update the thread once the game used items become available.
  14. Me too. I loved the guy. And he was a very solid player with a great attitude.
  15. Lighten up a bit- it's supposed to be against the Royals and would be an interesting change of pace. This is safer than 10-cent beer night and embodies the original spirit with which barnstorming teams played the game. ' I think that this could be fun for the team and for us fans -- a bright spot in a bleak season.
  16. Why not Butera? He already has the best era on the team?
  17. I agree with you about not affecting any races, which is why I suggested doing this in a game with the Royals.
  18. The Twins have no chance of contending this year. Neither do the Royals. In order to provide some fun for the players and the fans, I would like to see at least one player attempt to duplicate Cesar Tovar's feat of playing all nine positions in a single game. As you can see, this made for an interesting box score. Also, here is a video about Tovar: [video=youtube_share;EgUjhIfoHVA] Question -- would you like to see a Twins player play all nine positions in a game against the Royals next month? P.S., could an admin correct the spelling error in the poll title?
  19. This is an interesting take on the situation, Mr. Lounge. But how do you explain Spanish basketball players? Mutations?
  20. Great blog. Lots of good links here.
  21. I wish we could have one of these in Los Angeles some time. And I am tempted to fly to Minnesota just to see Mr. Lounge wrestle.
  22. Thanks for posting this article. I was hoping for selfish reasons that the Twins would end up in Vegas, but Rochester seems like a good fit for both parties.
