  1. Wasn’t that one in the bunch that Blake posted?
  2. Then we’d be listening to silence because I don’t think that the case at all.
  3. You say it ... you post it ... come on, diehard ... where's the video???
  4. From what I read Buxton would be with the team on this road trip but not sure exactly when he’d be reinstated.
  5. Sounds good! Just be very thorough in your walk through!
  6. I say this based on my experience of buying new construction (although in my case it was a condo, not a single-family home). Developers want to CLOSE, they want their money. If something isn't quite done, they will still want you to close and promise to fix it all after. And they will ... they must ... but they have a year to complete their punch list (I don't know if that's different elsewhere). And believe me, once you've closed and they have your money, it can be excruciatingly difficult to get them to fix what was supposed to have been done before closing because now that they have their money and have other projects they want to complete, they have little motivation to get back to you as you are now an annoying bug they want to swat. (Very much a live and learn experience for me.) That's why I said above ... and check with your realtor on this, because I don't want to give advice and have you lose your house because of something I said to do ... but don't hesitate to say 'Oh, this and that and this and that isn't finished ... I guess we'll have to move the close date back until it's all done.' I don't know what the repercussions are with that, but, it's something I would do if going through this process again. (It's a longer story than this - too much to get into here.)
  7. What I think is nothing is guaranteed, especially not in baseball. You can make your best guesses based on a lot of things, including schedule, which should/could play a part. That said, yes, the Twins also have to perform. Pitching is a weakness and it shows. It ain’t over til it’s over and my only prediction will be is that it’s going to be close to the end. The Twins could make some trades and/or have a couple minor leaguers that find their way and stick. We could be without Buxton through the season. We could face another injury. Cleveland could, too. Schedule is important, but no more than all the rest of it but it can’t be discounted, either. I don’t like prognosticating. Is that a word? Anyway, I don’t. It either makes me very disappointed at the end, or very hopeless in the present, so I’ll take each game as it comes and just wait to see who wins out in the end.
  8. Make sure you hold onto your apartment through September, just in case.
  9. That was quick! Congrats! New build?
  10. Okay, I fell asleep and have missed the game.
  11. I still have all of mine. There is no need to remove them. Something probably happened to necessitate their removal at this time or I doubt he’d just do it.
  12. Hmmm ... could go either way.
  13. I LOVE THIS GUY!!!!!!!!! ROSIE!
  14. Aww ... LadyHawke is still high up my list of movies I like to watch.
  15. Yep. This is why I said, or tried to, that it frustrates me more it wasn’t dealt in the off season as the trade now stuff is a wait and see game. I don’t think we are on dissimilar pages here. I just don’t expect a deal today, even though I might want one.
  16. Or ... and I think this is just as possible ... or ... teams know that there are several teams who want what they have and are playing us against one another to maximize return. There aren't a lot of trades happening right now ... at least not major ones. It's frustrating because we need the help now. But as I said in an earlier comment, and the reason I'm more frustrated, is that this could have been addressed in the off-season and wasn't. We could have over-paid for Kimbrel, which I'm frustrated we didn't. And now we are here ... not sure what to expect ... but Falvey-Levine haven't sat as idle as past participants at the trade deadline ... so ... as frustrated and impatient as I am, I have no choice but to wait, watch frustrating ends to some games, before I jump on the 'it's just like it always has been' bandwagon (although I'm not expecting a whole lot here, but still, I'll muster what patience I can to wait and see), and in all that, remind myself over and over ... it's just a game. Because to me ... that's all it is. Yes, I care if we win or lose ... but I'm not going to put myself or anyone else in the hospital over it.
  17. Again, we have choices in life. Watch something on Netflix instead. A horror movie would be better.
  18. I agree with this. However, not addressing the BP in the off-season is showing the consequences of that.
  19. We all make choices in life ... some good, some bad.
