  1. Thanks for your perspective ... and your support against the White Sox!
  2. It’s been on my list since before it was released. I’ve been trying to interest my Mom in seeing that one, but she’s so so on it. May have to wait until I get back to ChiTown ... hopefully it will still be playing at my neighborhood theater.
  3. I’m not sure when the official MiL report date is, but later into the ST, the minor leaguers drill and work out in the mornings and play games in the afternoons, usually starting around 1, and usually on 3-4 fields. Is great to walk from game to game to game to game then back to game to game to game. Of course, do this when the Twins have an away game so you don’t have to pay for parking and/or have to park a far distance.
  4. We all know by now your thoughts on Buxton, so before we turn this thread into a Buxton debate, the OP asked who do you think the 2020 MVP will be? Yes, not Buxton, but who do you think that will be? Someone currently on the roster, someone outside yet to be named?
  5. Please stick to the topic. thanks!
  6. Moderator warning: if you don’t want to address and talk about the subject presented, then don’t. If all you want to do is name call and generally grouse about what wasn’t done, start your own thread or, better yet, write your own blog. You can disagree with the writer, but present your own thoughts beyond penny pinching comments.
  7. Moderator reminder: This thread is about Graterol’s role next season. Please keep your comments directed that way. Thanks.
  8. If the plan is for Graterol, how would that look for you? As a starter, primary or relief pitcher? Does he open here or get more time in Rochester? Do you think a pitch limit should be on this year? Just a reminder that this thread is to discuss what role you think Graterol should/will have this season and not a general session on who the Twins didn’t get and why. There are other threads for that, so let’s keep at least one thread on track and not devolve as others have. Thanks.
  9. Just saw ‘Bombshell.’ Very good ... but not much I will say in the subject matter so I don’t take this thread off track. Worth seeing.
  10. This off-season, so far, has been very impactful in its impactlessness. I hope I’m not saying that come April, but I’m not turning blue from holding my breath, either.
  11. So then, do you want Graterol as a starter only or reliever only, in the majors or in AAA? If Graterol is on a pitch limit, being a starter or a stacker is an option. I’m not sold on the whole starter idea, either, but it could be a good way to utilize Graterol if he’s on a limit or to get him stretched by gradually increasing innings.
  12. Moderator warning: please stop this back and forth about Bumgarner. The thread topic is ‘What now?’ Please move forward and past what we didn’t get and get back to topic of this thread.
  13. That’s fair ... so you’re saying that we are at the end of the road and what’s next is nothing?
  14. This is all I was trying to do. We have too many threads gone off down the path of who the Twins didn’t get, expressing anger and frustration. And I’m not saying that those feelings aren’t justified ... but we don’t need to dump all over every thread. Let’s keep one on track ... what do we do now? And maybe there just isn’t much else to say, in that case I’d suggest a blog if needs still exist to release these emotions rather than derailing every thread with ... cheap, we never get, they could’ve had comments. Let’s keep ONE thread on track ... so, what’s next? If you don’t think they will do anything else, then there isn’t much to say that adds to this particular discussion thread.
  15. I had heard Buxton AND ...
  16. As I said in my first post in this thread, that’s my hope. What would it take to get him? Do we bankrupt the farm for him? Last summer it was never just Buxton, straight up, they wanted Lewis and/or Kirilloff, too, from my understanding. What do you think it will take and is it worth it? Do we give up how many of our top 10 prospects? I think we have enough to make it happen, and I think it’s worth it, but I don’t know what exactly the right combination would be.
  17. Okay, I’ll say to you what I just said above ... the should’ve, would’ve, could’ve options are gone. This isn’t a thread about bemoaning all things owners and salary caps, etc. what’s next in this off season? What is your plan to move forward? What are the next steps for the Twins?
  18. This thread isn’t about ‘would have’. That ship has sailed, for whatever real or imagined reasons, those ‘would have’ options are off the table. So ... what does Mike Sixel do now? What is your plan moving forward? What options do the Twins have next and what do you want them to do now?
  19. I haven't seen it yet ... so please, if you are going to go the spoiler route, put a big ... ****SPOILER**** at the top of your posts. Thanks!
  20. Sometimes baking mistakes are happy mistakes.
  21. I’m waiting for spring training. I will give them that amount of time to do what they said they would. If they don’t, then their idea of the window of opportunity being wide open is very different from mine. It’s going to cost them way more than money to do it, too, but that’s what it’s going to take, because I’m thinking Syndegaard. Yeah, I’m hoping way too big.
  22. Do you spike yours with brandy? bourbon? rum? Cognac?
  23. Egg nog makes great French toast batter ...
  24. I made another batch of rosemary peasant bread on Friday night. There’s nothing like fresh baked bread. And this recipe is so easy.
