Chicago 2) What's your jobby job? orchestra musician, sort of 3) How 'bout hobbies? tennis, baking, needle craft (specifically cross-stitch, although I've put that to the side for a bit), home improvement projects (mostly imagining them, and hiring someone to do them ) 4) How long have you followed the Twins? well, off and on since early on, but pretty steadily the past 25 yrs 5) How many games do you attend a season? hmmm ... Correa and Ryan 8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? not sure, I'd have to think on that 9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Buck's in-the-park home run vs the White Sox. The minute Garcia missed that, I'm at my seat jumping up and down, screaming 'In the park home run! In the park home run!' before he even hit second, because he was just flying and you knew. Was fun. And the White Sox mascot gave me a 'look' ... lol ... 10) What is your favorite all-time Twins moment? The '87 series win ... I mean ... that was special

    I didn’t see that he was. I don’t think they gave a specific time, just sometime this week and maybe this series

    Okay ... but who knows when he'd fit back into the active roster? Where is there room? Correa for Miranda, Larnach for ? My thinking was, he started out slow, and has been on the IL, that maybe some time in AAA would be good. But it's a moot point, because he traveled with the team, which means he will be slotted in at some point. We just don't know for whom, yet. Both he and Correa are basically ready, it's just a matter of when and for whom. This isn't an argument ... I was just trying to think of ways where everyone fit and Lewis wasn't the one sent down.

    Yeah ... this is something I've noticed this year, too. From the pitchers forming a 'team within a team' to Buxton being so animated to, well, everyone ... there just seems to be a whole different feel. If Rocco has cultivated that, that's a really great attribute. But, then again, there is no 'I' in team. These things tend to happen because of 1) good leadership, 2) good communication, and 3) the 'right' mix. The clubhouse I don't think can be totally attributed to Rocco, but he is certain a big part of 1 and 2.

    No, they could option him to St. Paul ... he still has options, yes? But since he made the trip with them to Oakland, we can assume that is not the plan. I didn't know that before when I suggested that.

    It's a pity, then, that things aren't approached more open-mindedly instead of instantly disliking the unknown (And that goes for a lot of things, not just opera.)

    But this isn’t just a Rocco thing. This is the modern-day baseball thing. If not Rocco, it would be someone else doing the exact same thing. You and everyone who doesn’t like how the sport is going these days seems to have put this dislike in the man. While I agree that hate is a strong word, and as I said, not one I’d use here, I a,so think this massive dislike toward Rocco is also misguided and a tad irrational.

    The thing that always kind of annoys me is what was mentioned in nick’s article … the attitude that Rocco is to blame for the losses, but no credit is given for the wins. While hate is a strong word and not one I’d use here, it would seem to me that the blame/no credit process is about disliking the manager no matter what. If the manager is the only one responsible for the losses, they are responsible for the wins, too. But I don’t really think either is true. I’ve often said that I don’t think the manager affects the outcome all that much. Players who can execute and getting players who can execute … that’s on the players themselves and the FO for assembling the team. The manager today relies on a committee of people to come up with a game plan. This committee does a very good job, from what I can see, at making sure that the players are prepared with that plan. The players then need to execute that plan.

    I've been off focus since thinking about catfish ... there's a spot on the Mississippi, in Wisconsin just across from Winona, call the Hillside Fish House ... I want some of their pan-fried catfish
