Yeah, I know, I’m asking too much. Maybe save the 40 for a season recap then. The only reason I threw out the 40 is because that’s what TD does.

Don't know how I missed this when it came out before ... thanks! It's a GREAT feature! That said ... any chance you could expand it to the full TD 40 + 10? (I know, I know ... I keep asking for stuff!)

Article: MLB Stadium Tour: San Diego's Petco Park
Squirrel replied to John Bonnes's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
As much as I like hearing about other parks ... and it would be fun if enough posters could contribute to an entire series until all parks across the country are covered ... I hope we don't have too many articles that are nothing more than Twitter posts. It seems odd to call that an article, imo. Perhaps it was the easiest way to amass thoughts on the subject since they were all tweeted out over the time of the visit, perhaps giving the ‘sense’ of reporting live, but I could just follow Twitter for that. There's a reason I prefer one format over the other. Call me old-fashioned, but I actually like reading articles as opposed to a series of Twitter posts. Edit: That said, I do appreciate the ‘report’ and the information contained within. Thanks, John. -
Both bullpens running in when the benches cleared was funny. Weird funny but also haha funny.

That last sentence, that's what irritates me even more than who is used when. It's who is used how often over someone not being used at all. Why are they there then? This more than anything makes me ride the 'not a fan' of MoY bus.

Thanks for updating the prospect summary list! Any thought on making that it’s own article, and doing one, all 1-40, say, twice or once a month? Doesn’t have to be a huge write up, just what you do here, but with their current line, maybe their last performance or where they were the previous month and one or two sentence blurb on their last month of play or a highlight or something?

I enjoyed it ... but not as much as the other Marvel movies. I laughed at the Partridge Family Theme Song.

I actually think the Twins’ need for a great catcher is greater than the pitching needs right now. I would do Kirilloff + Graterol for Realmuto with blinking a few times, but I’d do it. This is the trouble with trade discussions. We all want but when it comes time to give we all get too squeamish. You have to give to get, especially for a big piece that will be a difference maker.

Article: Week in Review: Home Sweet Home

I don't think anyone is suggesting handing Rooker the job, at least I wasn't. But I think it's enough of a possibility you simply can't not have him be a part of the discussion. I'd like to see Rooker moved up to AAA this year to see how he does and go from there. While it's not likely he'd make the team next year, and no one is slotting him in as a given, I don't think it can be ruled out completely and not part of the discussion as a possibility. At the very least I'd think he could be a call up next year at some point. But then, he's not on the 40-man and he likely won't be put on it this fall, so, that could be the stronger issue as to when we might see him all the way up.- 19 replies

If they move Rooker up to AAA ball yet this year, depending on how he does, he could fill that spot. It's a long shot and likely not to happen, but ... I think it's enough of a possibility that you can't not look at it.- 19 replies

I’d actually watch that. There are so many things they could do, but won’t, to actually make it a true ‘best of the best’ game to watch instead of teams based on fan base.

To answer the question about the Futures game ... no MLB team is allowed more than two representatives. Some teams only have one prospect going. If you do the math, 25 on each team is 50 players. With 30 MLB teams and each team needs at least one representative, the rule is no team can have more than 2.- 19 replies

That was actually my first thought when I saw Carter was released, except I only thought Rooker. Get him to AAA this year. As much as I’d like to see him all the way up, I don’t think that happens this year for a number of reasons. But I think they could and should push him to AAA this year.

Article: Front Office Flop for the Twins?
Squirrel replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
If the previous regime’s failure in accurately assessing and developing players, wasn’t Doug M a part of that? As much as I liked him, and wanted him as manager when Mollie was hired, I have to wonder.- 134 replies

Article: Front Office Flop for the Twins?
Squirrel replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Why do you say this? If it’s based on the play in the majors, most of those guys, if not all, were developed under the previous regime. At what point is it a development issue or a manager/coaching issue? (I already said I think their biggest mistake was signing Molitor for 3 yrs.) I think seeing what becomes of Sano will tell us more about this FO’s development program, if it’s not too late. And maybe it is. I’m not sure it’s fair to expect instantaneous results on that front. They didn’t really start replacing people throughout the minors until this past off season, so when is the right time to grade that? That’s partly why I’m on the fence because some of these things take time to grade.- 134 replies

After seeing that catch I thought, ‘Buxton who?’ I also thought he must’ve been channeling Kirby for all those robbed shots to center during his era with the Twins. His leaps were always so perfectly timed.

The 2nd Miracle game, Mason inherited runners and allowed one to score. Dunedin had ample chances to score more but were held. It was a good game but I couldn’t help but think how similar to the Twins it was with lacking offense.

Squirrel replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I will give them another off season before declaring them a success or a flop. I’ve liked the drafts, but I’d like to see some results of that before declaring success. Their roster construction and in-season moves have been baffling to maddening. But the biggest down side in my book was offering Molitor a 3-yr contract. Perhaps that was completely a Pohlad move and can’t be pinned to them, but that was an awful move, imo.- 134 replies
