    Actually, I’d argue that he didn’t get picked off. If they had challenged the call I believe it would have been overturned. Video we saw at home showed he was clearly safe. I don’t know if the technical difficulties they were having led to that not being challenged, but I don’t think Sano was out.

    I'm actually good with what they got back, less so for Escobar but I'm okay with it, and I think your comment about not having to worry about the 40-man with these guys is good. That said, for me, 'short-term pipeline' means contributing in 2019, of which I think Hoskin is right ... I really only see possibly Rooker, and not immediately, maybe Gordon and/or Wade, but I see them next year as up and down as injury replacement and are really another year away from any kind of real contribution to a season on the 25-man roster. I'm hoping for some big off-season signings and/or trades if we are to compete next year. And I also hope that those who had down years bounce back. I know you can't count on anything, but I'm hoping.

    Yeah, I get that. Again, not my question. It was the reason for it I question. If that’s the reason for not ... because of one player’s feelings ... that’s what I was questioning.

    I get the distraction part and agree. And yes, it can be a distraction on many levels. But that wasn’t what you said. I was questoning not negotiating an extension with one player because of the feelings of another.

    I think the return was fair ... and I know that's how it goes ... it just makes me very, very sad. He was one of my favorites, and has been for years now, not just because of this season. And I think there are a lot of intangibles with him ... heart and soul lost. And my heart is broken. Just ... sad. But, yeah, that's how this game goes.

    Yeah, I know, I’m asking too much. Maybe save the 40 for a season recap then. The only reason I threw out the 40 is because that’s what TD does.

    Don't know how I missed this when it came out before ... thanks! It's a GREAT feature! That said ... any chance you could expand it to the full TD 40 + 10? (I know, I know ... I keep asking for stuff!)

    As much as I like hearing about other parks ... and it would be fun if enough posters could contribute to an entire series until all parks across the country are covered ... I hope we don't have too many articles that are nothing more than Twitter posts. It seems odd to call that an article, imo. Perhaps it was the easiest way to amass thoughts on the subject since they were all tweeted out over the time of the visit, perhaps giving the ‘sense’ of reporting live, but I could just follow Twitter for that. There's a reason I prefer one format over the other. Call me old-fashioned, but I actually like reading articles as opposed to a series of Twitter posts. Edit: That said, I do appreciate the ‘report’ and the information contained within. Thanks, John.

    That last sentence, that's what irritates me even more than who is used when. It's who is used how often over someone not being used at all. Why are they there then? This more than anything makes me ride the 'not a fan' of MoY bus.

    Thanks for updating the prospect summary list! Any thought on making that it’s own article, and doing one, all 1-40, say, twice or once a month? Doesn’t have to be a huge write up, just what you do here, but with their current line, maybe their last performance or where they were the previous month and one or two sentence blurb on their last month of play or a highlight or something?

    I enjoyed it ... but not as much as the other Marvel movies. I laughed at the Partridge Family Theme Song.

    I actually think the Twins’ need for a great catcher is greater than the pitching needs right now. I would do Kirilloff + Graterol for Realmuto with blinking a few times, but I’d do it. This is the trouble with trade discussions. We all want but when it comes time to give we all get too squeamish. You have to give to get, especially for a big piece that will be a difference maker.
