    I believe I've told this here before but it bears repeating-- Norm Green walks into a bar with a toad sitting on his head. The bartender says, "What the heck is the deal with that?" and the toad says, "I don't know. It started out as a pimple on my butt and just kept growing."

    So if a pitcher allows 3 runs through 6 it's a quality start. Is it still a quality start if he allows a run or many runs in the seventh inning? I realize it's not an official stat but I've never been clear on it.

    I'm 100% serious about what I said about the USPS. That said, Cliffie is my hero. Not only is he a mail carrier but he's an insufferable know-it-all. I couldn't find a link to the video, but there was an episode where Cliff conceived of a theme park called "Postal World" which, in Cliff's words would convey "the pageantry that is the US Postal Service." He followed that with, "Who knows? Maybe if this idea takes off I can get out of this stinking rotten dead-end job."
