    I get not wanting to give the 6th year, but 5/$125 wouldn't have been out of line, so what's the difference? The question is what did they offer and how much more than 6/$126 would they have had to offer to close the deal? Would they have had to guarantee 6/$150?

    Given his health and off the field issues, I'm not sure I agree.

    There's certainly tweaks to be made. Barr is invisible too often. Rhodes can't stay on the field. But I think Hunter, Joseph, Kenricks, Smith is a pretty good core.

    That was less disappointing because that team wasn't as good as this one IMO. Defense not nearly as good. 1st year QB. The Ravens would have beaten them if the Giants didn't.

    They laid an egg tonight, but to act like they're multiple players away from being good is silly. They went 13-3 for a reason. They $%& the bed tonight. Not for lack of talent. But it takes too many things to go right to win a Super Bowl with a non-elite QB.

    Not really. The defense is good. They laid a massive egg today. We get Delvin Cook back. Probably 1 more O lineman and a real QB.

    What a pathetic game. I don't want Keenum as the long-term QB and franchise him going forward. Either go after Cousins/Manning or roll with Teddy and see what happens.

    I would tend to agree that there's very little productive to be said here. Normally, fans are inclined to want to believe the player in a situation like this. In this case, it may be the opposite. In any event, it's up to the Twins, MLB and the authorities to do, or not do what they see fit. All I would say is that those ripping Nick or others here need to stop and take a breath. If he was told about this a year + after it happened and asked to keep it private, what good could possibly come from telling anyone?

    They needed to add a lefty. This is a low risk move.

    Pass. Vargas should be primary DH with Sano DHing against lefties and Escobar playing 3rd. I have a bad feeling Napoli will lead to losing Vargas on waivers.

    Don't start making assumptions now. The problem with having 3 teams now tied is it only takes on of them to run off a 7-1 stretch. We need to win tomorrow and take at least one in Cleveland before even thinking about relaxing.

    Garcia had an absurdly large strike zone last night and tonight we get squeezed. It's hard enough to beat the Yankees, but the refs always help screw us over. I watched the entire game on dvr fast forward, it's the only way I can tolerate watching Twins games at Yankee stadium.
