    Please tell me they're not going to send him back in favor of keeping Wilson. Garver needs to play and this kid will easily hit .100 points better than Wilson at a minimum. Having to watch Wilson, Grossman and Belisle needlessly eating ABs and innings on this team is so grating.

    Reed makes me never want to spend multi-year $ on FA bullpen help again.

    I reject the premise. Right now, if we let everyone who's a FA walk and replace them with rookies, our 2019 payroll would be around $55 million (assuming you count Hughes as a 2018 write-off). Salary is not an issue.

    He hits .220 with no power. He's not even a bench bat. At least Vargas or Carter could hit a HR once in a while.

    Escobar is widely acknowledged as one of the team leaders. We're keeping Matt Belisle around even though he throws batting practice. It's not worth nothing. But the bottom line is he can play multiple positions and he can hit. That's easily worth keeping around for a reasonable price.

    When is the last time a Twins catcher started a day game after a night game? Was Garver hurt? Running Wilson out there day after day is so ridiculous. Continuing to put out line-ups with Wilson, Grossman, etc. in the lineup when there are better alternatives is like a giant middle finger to the fans who have to watch this offense.

    What's the best case scenario? Getting a prospect who might one day be as good as Escobar? Salary is zero issue for the next several years. I'll take the known quantity.

    I would offer him a 3 year extension for $12-15 per year. If that doesn't get it done, trade him.

    Yes. The first was a come backer to the mound but athlete Lynn wiped out. The second was a tailor made double play but athlete Lynn deflected it.
