  1. Only if you have fresh, innovative ideas to share with Joe Pohlad as he seeks collaboration.
  2. Contract law still exists. The Twins lease is pretty iron clad. Plus what motive does a Minnesota judge have to allow such a thing? You're reaching.
  3. They still have linear distribution on most of the same places Bally's is (Comcast/DirecTV etc.), so it could get worse. There is large uncertainty if MLB is going to be able to get enough teams on board to take the full rights to Amazon/Netflix etc. That will likely raise/equalize the media $$ but it might not happen.
  4. I suspect there is a local group with actual $$ buying ~25% or so and maybe Mauer is in that group but not the the main source of $$.
  5. Mauer is the only former player who is likely to have enough $$ to own anything more than a token %.
  6. Reusse said that initially then backed off. But clearly ownership had to sign off on the Correa move. I think the rest were all Falvey pretty much.
  7. Possible. But I don't think they actually own banks anymore, that was the old man. And there isn't really any net benefit to playing that game if you own 100% of both entities.
  8. Yeah. Relocation is a non-issue with this. I'm not saying it can never happen. But not in the next 15 years.
  9. Meh. We already played that game 30 years ago. It would make far more sense to move the Rays or Marlins there or an expansion team.
  10. They would not be able to break the lease, and even if they could MLB is not leaving teams in Tampa, Miami and Sacramento but abandoning the 15th media market.
  11. Besides Vegas, the closest thing they have is Portland or Nashville. They're not leaving MSP for those markets.
  12. They can't move until at least 2040. That's not going to happen. Not to mention the A's and Rays sagas show MLB doesn't really have any place to go. They're not leaving the 15th media market.
  13. I'd assume AI wrote it. A free version, not one you pay for of course.
  14. This announcement is another example of him not knowing what he's doing. They shouldn't have said anything until they were ready to announce who the new partner's were and then played that up as much as possible even if they are keeping 50%+ of the team.
  15. There have been a lot of dark days for this franchise. The day the first stadium bill failed and they were moving to North Carolina. The day contraction was announced. So this isn't the worst day . But it's top 5.
  16. Unless Falvey and Rocco go, returning to a $140 million payroll accomplishes nothing. They will now likely both be here for 5 more years.
  17. I am astounded that they think this is the right move. They have already burned all goodwill they ever had. Stadium and TV revenues will only plummet further. MLB has major issues. There is a lockout pending. The value of this team is as high as it's going to be for the next several years. The value is only going to go down.
  18. I hope he is OK and wish him well. But I would very much mind if he is back next year, especially if Rocco is still here.
  19. I don't agree that a full rebuild is necessary. They have a base payroll of about $100 million going into 2026. If the new owers are just willing to spend the same $140 million the Pohlad's spent this season, they can rebuild the bullpen and add a 1B. There is quite an impressive list of relievers hitting free agency this Fall. Grab two, maybe trade for a 3rd and possibly convert someone like Zebby Mathews to the bullpen and suddenly it's decent again.
  20. It's been obvious that Falvey is never leading the Twins to the promised land since the 2019 trade deadline. He's simply not a good GM, doesn't hold those under him accountable and it's absurd that he now runs the business side too. The new owner needs to fire him on day 2.
