  1. Is that horsie just.... going around in a circle....? Getting.... dizzy........ Well... more dizzy..... than usual........................... (thump)
  2. I was blissfully ignorant, but then I looked into your eyes, and now I'm terrifyingly ignorant...
  3. Wait! Stop! Too early for dinner! Don't jinx it!
  4. Uh-oh... that run out there belongs to Gibby. I hope Duff can keep him from scoring, so Gib still gets to give up the same number of runs as innings pitched....
  5. All I got over here is gameday-- but Lordy, Gibby is out there in the sixth-- at least he took care of Soundgarden. This is excruciating. A 6 run lead should feel better than this.
  6. Cripe, 12 runs scored, and Gibby might not even make it through 5. What a.... I don't, know, I've run out of words.
  7. Dang, can't watch here at "work." But this game must be a fun-fest. I think Kennys maybe read some posts from yesterday about his lack of aggressiveness on the basepaths- and now he's running amok. Something that big, in amok-mode, I surely don't want to get in the way of. Maybe nobody is brave enough to try to tag him.
  8. Gosh, how many runs does Gibby need for a 'safe' lead? I'm thinking somewhere around 2 touchdowns.
  9. A little known fact, the Space Needle was actually constructed as a film location for one of the best political thrillers of all time, "The Parallax View." Like many illustrious Olympic venues, it still stands in all its former glory. (And if you've never seen that film, you should). https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/parallax_view/
  10. It's tough for a pitcher going against the same team twice a week apart. Gallardo had pretty much the same game he pitched against us last time, to his credit, and actually had a better stat line. Mejia, on the other hand... Holy Cow. And now, Gibby, who had a good outing against the M's, also gets them in successive starts. Will he fare like Gallardo did, or more like Mejia? My money, sadly, is on the latter. The rest of this series, after Gibby, has the Big Two starting, but then... 4, count 'em, 4 games with Cleveland, without Berrios or Santana. I shudder to think. Espn says Duffey gets a start in that series. Maybe that's a good thing. I hope so, but then we're going to need another BP arm, right? Who's that gonna be? It's great to be above .500, and great to see the top of the Central right now, but this next stretch, I fear, is going to be the last of maybe both of those things for the year. That in itself is not a bad thing. I want to keep running those kid relief pitchers up the ladder, even to the big club, and see what potential we've got. There's a couple of sticks down in Roch right now, too, that deserve a good look. So they take some lumps? It's all about auditioning and learning. I'd rather see a young pitcher get lit and lose a game than the manager give away more winnable ones with the retreads we keep trotting out. And the sooner I see new guys wearing Belisle's and Breslow's numbers, the better.
  11. This is one kid I did not know much about going in. Didn't even have a picture of him in my mind, but now.... Geez, did they clone Derek Jeter?
  12. He might have just learned from his dear ol' Dad...
  13. Well, it's exam time, so had to step away for a while. Long enough for Gimenez' ERA to match up with the rest of his bullpen pals, I see.
  14. Sucks getting beat by the rhythm section of Soundgarden.
  15. I say we pester Molly to bring Belisle back in now- and see if things get REALLY interesting score-wise.
  16. Looks like Mejia is determined to keep the Twinks' solid home record intact. Question: If a reliable stud starting pitcher is sometimes called a "stopper," would today's edition of Mejia be a "goer?"
  17. So bummed today. Typhoon warning 8 all night-- which means the same as a Snow Day back home- no schools open, most office-type businesses closed, street markets closed, stay home and type my year end reports, and watch the ballgame. But NO! 5:40 AM they decide I must come to work, and lower the Typhoon to level 3. Still p*ssing sideways rain, lots of dead-soldier umbrellas on the sidewalks. Boooooooooo....!
  18. Dozey with an answer-- maybe this game ain't over yet!
  19. Welp. Just got to work and checked the gameday quickly, and..... Seems we're back home already. Nothing says 'we appreciate you fans coming out' like leadoff walks and kicking the ball around. Welcome back, boys!
