    I'm looking forward to today's game- good vibes around this team right now for me. I'll be on the couch with a warm English Setter on each side of me, with a beer in my hand. Doesn't get much better than that.

    I take solace in the notion of how many times threads have been made like this, and we all laugh at the end of the year when the guy turns it on and dominates for a stretch. That said, last night was okay. He wasn't amazing by any stretch of the imagination.

    I once texted my Dad years ago that a Twins player had been "DFA'd." Unbeknownst to me, it had been auto-corrected to "DEAD." My Dad obviously reacted differently than I expected him to, which caused some confusion for a few moments. Ever since, whenever a player is DFA'd, I text him and say the player's name, then "RIP."

    Yeah, it was was early alternative to the VHS. They were of higher quality but more expensive and less accessible than VHS.     Since there was no game tonight- I'll share a true anecdote. While at the game on Saturday, I walked around between Pizza Luce and Red Cow up near Minnie and Paul's. Up there, you'll find three statues-- one of the Lady Liberty, one of Mickey Mouse, and one of a large Apple. There was a tiny little opening on the base of the Apple, I peered into the little gap and noticed that the base of the statue had been weighed down with left over bobble-head parts. No joke. Little unpainted Paul Molitor heads that had been cemented together to create a formidable base. I took photos but don't have them hosted- so I can't share right now. It was a Soilent Green type moment. I was horrified. An example of Twins budgetary frugality or a terrifying conspiracy that goes all the way to the top? I can't imagine a small child noticing this and what their reaction would be.

    Interestingly, that video is from his DBacks days-- before he "figured it out." To me, his leg-kick looks comically high in that video on all of his swings, causing him to fall forward and lose all power generated from his hips.
