  1. There's a place on 24th and Nicollet just outside of downtown MPLS called Slice Of New York that absolutely wails. If you order by the slice, often times they'll throw whatever additional toppings you want onto it and even extra cheese before re-heating it in the oven. Top-notch stuff!
  2. It's not that I don't like Chicago-Style pizza, it's just that if I want pizza I'm going NY style or thin crust. If I want Lasagna then I may be in the mood for Chicago style.
  3. I won't go near that area cuz I don't agree with Corn Cob's politics.
  4. Just looked it up- looks right up my alley.
  5. Luce is like the Joe Mauer of MN Pizza. It's merely very good, but the prices reflect past days of hitting .330 and late-night drunk munchies in college.
  6. For my money, it's all about Savoy. http://static.celebuzz.com/uploads/2013/05/18/tina-fey-pizza.gif

  8. As a lifelong Minnesotan, I'm a huge fan of the thin-crust- cut-into-squares-style that all of our best local spots serve. I've even heard that in parts of the country they refer to the style as "Minnesota Style." One time I met someone from the Carbone family and asked if the style was invented in MN, and they bluntly said "No, we took that from Chicago." I'm like, "HOW CAN ONE PLACE BE HOME TO TWO STYLES OF PIZZA????"
  9. Jerr. Can I call you Jerr? May I be frank with you? Chicago Pizza just isn't that good, man. I'm sorry you had to hear it from me.
  10. My inclination would be Sano to 1st, Esco to 3rd, and keep Polanco at SS, give Joe a day off. Ideally, we'd have a legitimate RH hitting first base option for when Joe is sitting, but here we are.
  11. With the night game, I have no idea what I suppose to spend my time doing at work today...
  12. I saw some harping on the royals board last night about Twins-biased calls. It blew my mind as a Minnesota sports fan as to why any any officiant would have any reason to give MN the edge.
  13. In before the "7th Heaven" headlines and wordplay...
  14. Incidentally, it was brought to us by the Potato Farm Growers of Minnesota Association.
  15. This week has me in full-on mid-season form of excitement. I've been refreshing pages and looking for every bit of insight and info I can get regarding the Twins. We're still an hour from game time and I can't help but be so jacked that the season is here and our boys not only look good, but there definitely feels like a sea change has occurred. I may post more about this in a separate thread, but man, is it nice!
  16. If the season was 2 games long, he'd have a strong case for MVP, No?
  17. Nah, ya know what-- I'd rather have Sano at 3B and Park or Vargas at DH, but what do I know?
  18. I would put Sano at DH and Esco at 3B, but what do I know?
  19. I cannot overstate how sad it was to watch DanSan get dressed all by himself in the background of that Sano interview video. So sad. Nice work, btw! Keep it coming!
  20. It's really amazing how much my outlook has changed in the last few days. I'm typically a Twins optimist but this has me feeling good. Of course a lot can go wrong, but this just feels great.
  21. There's no chance this is the real Twins is it?
  22. If the season was 1.6 games long, I think Sano would have a case for MVP. No?
