  1. 50 Bombs/50 Steals? -Or- 50 Years/$50mm?
  2. I wonder if there'd be any benefit at that point of shifting Dozier to 3B and Sano to 1B. Seems like both guys would be more suited in those roles.
  3. You did. I'm just easily confused. -- and was only half paying attention. My apologies.
  4. That's a good point. Not to be nit picky , but wasn't he a auxiliary first rounder?
  5. I'm wondering how Sano's D at 3B has been this Spring? Haven't heard much about it since the articles about him losing weight and how he was "ready to take third" came out. Any one able to give an eyeball test, or see him working on the backfields? Same with Polanco?
  6. It was like "Rosario has a lot of positive attributes. BUT- he's bad and won't have a job next year."
  7. I know this is slightly off topic- but have there been comps between Berrios and Stroman in the past? Similar size, etc? I would love for Berrios to blossom into Stroman-- and Stroman's size shows that a short pitcher can still create the strong downward angle that people like K-Law think is impossible. A fairly interesting comparison, right? Of course, comps mean nothing between the two if Berrios can't figure out how to pitch to ML quality hitters.
  8. It looks like Stuart Turner won't be making the Reds roster-- doesn't this mean the Red's either have to offer trade compensation or he gets returned to the Twins? Wouldn't mind to have another decent catching chip in our ranks. http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/reds-stuart-turner-wont-serve-as-third-catcher/
  9. This WBC has been exciting. From where I sit, a Puerto Rico win could yield a Tournament MVP Award for our very own Eddie Rosario. He's been in the highlights of each game. I'd love a USA v PR final.
  10. Does anybody remember laughter???
  11. Is it just me or does his shirt in that video say "DIRTBAGS" on it?
  12. I LOL'd when Dozier's number 3 comp was Khalil Greene!
  13. Huh- thanks!
  14. Is there a regularly kept resource that illustrates a player's direct comparison and what their ceiling may be based on other player's in the league? I have seen similar resources in the past, but I can't find them regularly. Is there a resource that has them available at all times?
  15. Wait- who was the 41 year old DH?
  16. I often times wish there was a resource for non-numbers-minded people like myself to understand what the anticipated ceiling of a player is. As we well know, when a lot of scouts are saying a player has a high-ceiling, it doesn't necessarily mean they are Mike Trout. I'm guessing an okay comp for Rosario, should the best case scenario pan out, would be something close to a primetime Alex Rios. Is that accurate?
  17. Choice Thrylos Quote: "I suspect they “contended” in 2015, but they did not really contended." I LOLded!
  18. The book on Ed has always been that he swings at everything. I remember a thread of here a year ago asking if he was was maybe the best overall player on the team. Of course, most said no- despite a super promising rookie season. I've been tempted to say similar things about Kepler prior to this year. Something about speedy outfielders with great defensive chops and a little pop brings it out in me, I guess. I've always liked Rosario and would love to see him step up- he has such immense talent in some aspects of the game.
  19. History is riddled with stories of players who were suppose to be "pretty good" but ended up being "really good." I guess I'll choose to drink from the half-full glass of cool-aid today...
  20. I read the Twinkie Town Mejia article yesterday. The thing that I can't escape from with him-- is it possible he's more than just a fifth starter? I read about his dominance of minor league ball, his command of 3 pitches, and his maturity. The biggest negative you see is about his body type. But, King Felix would probably be considered a #5 guy too if only for his body type. My questions is-- is it possible we've got a better asset here than the pundits will give us credit for? Or is he just a solid performing 5th guy?
  21. I was under the impression that his numbers took a dive because most people stopped running on him. I'd say it's elite. Also, he's been putting on quite a show in the WBC-- I feel like he's done something awesome in each game so far. We may have another Samuel Deduno on our hands!
  22. I'm realizing that this maybe sounded snarkier than I intended. My apologies-- but seriously, it may be the most direct way to get that question answered.
