    The bullpen is the fatal flaw. Has been since July 31, 2025. No team in the Twins’ position can obliterate a bullpen and rebuild it in a single season.

    I doubt this season will be any different than the previous 5 seasons in the AL. 86 wins is the minimum to be the last wild card team. That’s been consistent every year since the playoffs were expanded. Baseball fans really do have goldfish memories. We were saying this exact same thing last year, and the year before that, and the year before that.

    Agreed. Wasn’t worth the trip when I lived in Austin. Looks like they got the roof open to start and they’re dealing with the same heat we’re dealing with in MN. 90 feels like 101 according to my weather app.

    I’m not opposed to moving him to the needs more data category. He’s not one I’m ready to give up on like I am with Wallner and Martin.

    I do think we are getting answers to the question of Who Makes up the Core of the Twins? This season it is crucial to determine where we stand with several position players in their mid 20s... It hasn't gone our way with several of them, but I think at this point... In the core: Lewis (1B and 3B with a sprinkling of 2B), Lee (3B, but ideally a utility player), Clemens (utility) Out of the core: Wallner, Martin Need more data: Kreidler, Keaschall

    I had the game on as background noise while cleaning the house/laundry/cooking... Morneau and Provus mentioned a few times that Kreidler is finally healthy after 2+ years. Hopefully it's that simple!

    Kreidler is the most intriguing development this year. If he figured out how to hit at the MLB level, we’ve got a building block. It’s too early to tell, but early signs are good. He needs to be playing SS every day for the immediate future. I’m done platooning him with Gray

    I’ve never looked into Minnesota United tix before because MLS soccer isn’t an interest of mine. But I can say with 100% confidence that attending a Twins game is the cheapest ticket in town compared to Timberwolves, Wild, and Vikings. Wolves and Wild you’re spending $80 minimum for a decent ticket. The Vikings are hundreds of dollars per ticket.

    Shelton gave the only answer that puts the responsibility on him. I doubt he actually believes it, but his other 2 choices were criticizing Zoll, or his own players.

    Me and others have said this for many months. This season was already decided on July 31, 2025 when they decimated the bullpen. The roster needs to be turned over because a bad bullpen and bad defense won’t win squat. I’ve been waiting for this organization to turn it over to the next wave of prospects. As soon as Culpepper is healthy get him up here. Walker Jenkins and Alan Roden. The Twins have no choice but to keep picking up waiver wire relievers and rolling the dice on them. I’d just prefer they’re under 28 with an option or 3 left.

    Yep I completely agree with this list. Joe Ryan and Jeffers are going to fetch the most talent in return. I’ll add a couple others to the list… I would slot Wallner above Larnach. Not because I think the return is better, but because I don’t think he is a priority here anymore. Where would I slot Royce Lewis? Probably between Larnach and Ober. I think we should keep him, but I could see a surprise trade coming just like Varland’s trade last year.

    The dwindling number of attendance, TV ratings, and radio share has been years in the making. Bally’s and FanDuel required a traditional cable subscription, so my friends that have YouTube TV for over a decade haven’t had access. The radio home of the Twins is on AM radio. Not exactly a source to find young listeners. The reputation of the Pohlads are broken beyond repair in this market. It’s worse than Glen Taylor.
